Did you know that stars are burning bright To paint the canvas of the darkest night, And even when the clouds obscure the view, Their ancient light is shining down on you? Did you know the trees communicate Through roots that run beneath the garden gate, Sharing nutrients with those in need, A quiet kindness hidden in the seed? Did you know your smile can trick your brain To feel a little joy and lessen pain, For just the act of curving lips up high Can chase the gray clouds from a mental sky? Did you know that bees will dance to show Exactly where the sweetest flowers grow, A wiggle and a waggle in the air To tell their friends there’s honey over there? Did you know the odds of being here, Alive and breathing in this atmosphere, Are slim enough to call your life a prize, A daily miracle before your eyes? Did you know that laughter heals the heart, Restoring pieces that have fall'n apart, Releasing tension with a simple sound, Turning heavy moments right around? Did you know the ocean holds a song, A rhythm that has played for ages long, Reminding us that tides will always turn, And calm is something everyone can earn? Did you know that kindness ripples out, Removing shadows of our fear and doubt, For one small act can travel miles away To brighten up a stranger’s rainy day? Did you know your strength is like the stone, Enduring storms that you have faced alone, And every challenge that you’ve made it through Has built a braver version of the new?
