At Poetry

The world is spinning out of control

Just like my mind

When I had one too many sips

The world falling into gun control

And whites fighting for their hierarchy

The right to bare arms

Is nothing more than a figurehead position?

As another night closes with another beer

The time for sleep, has come

Or another somber, drunken attempt
