My insides are crumbling The sadness of this earth Slowly chipping away at me Weighs heavily on my soul Beaten and broken down Demolished by personal and worldly Issues arising like smoke from a fire The abuse and violence I can’t take anymore! Like a phoenix from the ashes I have transformed A chance to start anew Gaining strength from my pain I stand tall once again. I am my soul I have a body My first taste of another realm Shows me that we are one Every spirit is connected To nature, to the universe, to each other
