It is said the moon is getting farther away. It is also said that Theia, a planet strayed and plummeted into earth 4.2 billion years ago, the two merged and the ejected materials formed the moon. Remnants of Theia remain beneath our feet. There are structures nigh the core that are speculated to be those remains. Also Theia brought water. Before the impact the Earth was toxic and uninhabitable, very similar to the Venus atmosphere. After impact and a cooling period after molting together and the ejected materials also cooled down, over time, our planet and moon shaped up much like what thou seeth to-day. I love the analogy of the Earth and Lunar being likened unto lovers . . . A brilliant concept. Beautifully written ! !
