A wave of golden hue Shines from behind the trees From behind the clouds Illuminating the world The sky turns purple and pink Almost dreamlike in it’s intensity It makes me think Why does this resonate? This scene before me With the suns blessing Becoming the nights beginning As dusk settles like a haze Over the landscape Into my heart It sinks As does the sun Twinkling stars flicker Into life - between breaths The golden hue Dispersed now Into the ether Waiting for tomorrow Just like I Whose heart is heavy With its absence Still … We have the sunrise To look forward to

Golden Caress
A wave of golden hue Shines from behind the trees From behind the clouds Illuminating the world The sky turns purple and pink Almost dreamlike in it’s intensity It makes me think Why does this resonate? This scene before me With the suns blessing Becoming the nights beginning As dusk settles like a haze Over the landscape Into my heart It sinks As does the sun Twinkling stars flicker Into life - between breaths The golden hue Dispersed now Into the ether Waiting for tomorrow Just like I Whose heart is heavy With its absence Still … We have the sunrise To look forward to
Something we can experience everyday - but how many of us take the time to contemplate it?
