Simultaneously Far, far away in the old corners of the world Something forgotten had begun to decay The Tree of Eternity had lost its crown Withering in the wind Evil has infected its heart And poisoned her roots She wont survive the next moon […You must venture through the Frost-bound lands and reach the Valley of Dread To bring back what’s dead…] -With courage as our sword and vision as our shield We stepped into forbidden territory. As the freezing cold bites through our souls The evergoing blizzard halted our path It seemed we'd come to a last stand For only an ember of life kept us alive The light inside had begun to fade The river’s gone cold, the warmth is gone. -We held our breaths and closed our eyes. Wishing for something to arrive. […One should be careful what to wish for…] Since time immemorial fear inflicts us all The Lord of Mysteries binds their fall Blending reality with imagery Feeding on twisted dreams, eating away their essence Thus nurturing the nightmares of the world A learned trickster he is Tricks with ease and wicked wits A deceiver of many forms Malice incarnated The world trembles before his might -And tremble we did.
