I’ll surrender in offering, awake with suffering, losing my religion to leave you forgiven. A choice, to give it all, take your fall, the toll of my sin, for the world you’re in. The pitch black star you walk within, the fire you’ve been, held in mercy— knowing it’ll hurt me. I know it will. When the moment arrives, by the darkest night, I’ll give you the light, burn my wings, for the future it brings. If only you stay, with me, ’til the end.

In your place
I’ll surrender in offering, awake with suffering, losing my religion to leave you forgiven. A choice, to give it all, take your fall, the toll of my sin, for the world you’re in. The pitch black star you walk within, the fire you’ve been, held in mercy— knowing it’ll hurt me. I know it will. When the moment arrives, by the darkest night, I’ll give you the light, burn my wings, for the future it brings. If only you stay, with me, ’til the end.
