name of Dolores
played poker
drank mash
'til we ran out of cash
and took Shanks's pony
back home.
The mortgage fell due
on the ranch house and
spread,
the cattle was out on the range
with old Red,
most of my kinfolk was a prayin
in town
thinking that Jesus would look kindly
down on them
misguided men for the most part
hearts in the right place,
but iffen your face
don't happen to fit
Ya gets your
*** out of here or be quick on the draw card and quit.
