Blaze
Nimisha Chauhan May 2020
You were a ray of possibilities
In a corn field
Rich, lush of hopes.

Ripe with dreams of the future,
Perfect pieces to the
Puzzle of me.

Who knew,
The ends would stick out,
Poke in uncomfortable places,
Clash and hurt.

Who knew the rays of hope
Would blaze me altogether?

Fools
Nimisha Chauhan Apr 2020
We are those who live
Like there's no tomorrow
Give like there'll be no other
Know each emotion
In its deepest fervour.

When days
Are far gone
And nights long past
Brittle and passionate
Embers still glow within
Hearts refill with
Remembrance and longing:
Two ingredients of
Potent love.

Why
Are we thus
They ask?

We are what we are-
Wise and reckless
Wary and trusting
Free-willing to be
Bound by love
Glorious fools
Of the purest kind.

As I Am
Nimisha Chauhan Apr 2020
Broken as is
Fire at peace
Let be
As I am.

Not a puzzle piece
To solve
Nor a shattered doll.

Scarred as a
Warrior must be
Shaped by the
Travails of time.

Take me thus
For who I am.

Wings
Nimisha Chauhan Mar 2020
I smell rain
On wings
Of the breeze.

Journey
Nimisha Chauhan Feb 2020
Mountain top,
Riverside dreams,
Leaving behind
Places, people
As they blur through
Passing by
On a journey.
