I am ever-changing.

Shapeshifting being
Shaping into the oval form of today
Shifting into the space of tomorrow

I morph and contort
Disarrange and rearrange
myself

But I will
  never
shape or shift

to fit the box you
try to think me into.

O’ Heart
how you weigh so
cumbersome
in my chest

Fleshy and  bulging

Pulling down
rib cage.
Contusing
stomach.

Pulling

  pulling

thoughts from my head.
Drawing tears from my eyes,
cries from my
throat.

You pull me

down

    down

Beneath myself.

How to stop the
eternal
churning and
crunching
of this cruel world?

A million of my smiles
crushed
into
dust.

Blow away
  swirling
in the wind.

Brushed off
and then

forgotten.
