Emily Dickinson
54

If I should die,
And you should live—
And time should gurgle on—
And morn should beam—
And noon should burn—
As it has usual done—
If Birds should build as early
And Bees as bustling go—
One might depart at option
From enterprise below!
’Tis sweet to know that stocks will stand
When we with Daisies lie—
That Commerce will continue—
And Trades as briskly fly—
It makes the parting tranquil
And keeps the soul serene—
That gentlemen so sprightly
Conduct the pleasing scene!

“You were you,
and I was I;
we were two
before our time.

I was yours
before I knew,
and you have always
been mine too.”

*This poem is not my own, it was written by Lang Leav. You can find it at the beginning of her book:  Love & Misadventure. I thought it was just too cute and pretty not to post

and you are no Michael Faudet

arranging letters
bit by bit
'cause we're
simply

*a poem with feet.

A Dedication

Anna
She lends her pen,
to thoughts of him,
that flow from it,
in her solitary.

For she is his poet,
And he is her poetry.*

Work hard
At everything that you do
The battle is never easy
You will face disappointment as you try to get through
Guard your heart
As you go forward
Enjoy the journey
And continue on upward
