Lives lost
a terrible cost
for the stupidity
of men seeking power

Many children do starve
with no turkey to carve
for the stupidity
of men seeking power

Many more are now homeless
as the people grow hopeless
for the stupidity
of men seeking power

It's this power they seek
that paints a picture so bleak
for their stupidity
of caring only for power
My hand drags across an empty paper
feeling, not seeing
my eyes are perfect and untouched
I’d prefer to stay blind
I see the world just how it is
and wish to get away forever
I see the ¨fun¨ the ¨cool¨ the ¨good¨
I know what they don't see, or should
I see the dark places
ones no one bothers to notice
I see the birds, the cats, the fish
and know, I'd rather lose all focus
on dreams and life and in-between
‘cause nothing is how we want it to seem.
A child turns from his full plate
Goes off to play

A greedy teen licks it clean
And asks for more

A man who cannot taste
Takes what he can before leaving for work

A grown man takes what he gets
And enjoys every drop of the taste
At that time
With a selfish command
You were there
Feeding me your warmth

You never left
Even when I slept
You were there
Waiting for my wake

I was weak
Nobody wanted me
You were there
Always with me

When all was said and done
And those times were gone
You were there
And never left

Of all of those there
None really stayed
You were there
And never left

Even when I ran
To explore other land
You were there
Waiting for me to land

Even when you are gone
Six feet under ground
You are still here
Waiting for me patiently

The milk hits the water
with an explosion of hues
and i can't help but notice that
that is how I feel around you
The milk and the tea battled for dominance
and of course the tea won
but the milk still existed within the tea
no matter how much it tried to run
This was inspired by watching a lady pour milk into her tea when I went to get tea with a friend a while ago.

Time* is in your pockets,

Hurry up and light the rockets,

Put your *emptiness
in the sockets,

Spread smiles and add jollity to the list of dockets,

Make a wish today, and wear your lucky lockets.
Let'em worry, you don't stop chasing what is yours.
their voices are stolen away
but even if they were to get it back,
their lips are welded
and shackled to their fears.

theistic idols

by the culture in which one is raised.

contradictory fallacies
leading society away from
self dependency.

im tired of being a minority!

apparently your god bestowed to me
this voice
this brain
this body
this mind
so...
im utilizing it.

i refuse to be oppressed any longer
i refuse to believe i was created
by some deity that claims
people have the free will to do as they please.
If god gave man free will,
how can everything be a part of god's plans?
If everything is a part of god's plans,
how can we have free will?

I refuse to be oppressed any longer.
I dug deep within my fears
and yanked my voice back.
I no longer fear being a minority,
I embrace it.

a society where minorities are scared to have a voice?
stand up,
find your voice,
and use it.
We are more than outcasts.
We are minorities
and together,
we can eradicate the title.

We're human.
