Midnight Clamour Jul 2015
as I tapped the cigarette, the crumbling ashes blown away by the wind brought in a myriad of memories of our love..

how you left my naked soul bruised and shattered only for you to be ravaged by another human..

and for me, love transcended from bedsheets draped in crimson moonlight to the amalgamation of ink and paper under the caramel candlelight..

yet, like a wildflower, I'd brave the unruly world again..to love people who the world considers wild..

amidst cigarettes, caffeine & a world stabbed by meliorism, life will belong to me once more..

eventually, everything came down to this..

surviving nights in anticipation of a call that never came..

while the clock ticks reminded how the same hand that once shed blood for you, now spills ink to recreate our memories and pen down your midnight secrets..

yet, neither the scent of burning lamp-oil nor an overdose of caffeine could bring out words to delineate your magic..

even though our universe had innumerable bruises, and our world unhurriedly caved in... but believe me, our chaos brewed love was art itself..

"♪oh, when I look back now, that summer seemed to last forever♪", and suddenly a myriad of memories sheathed the song..how I once loved a dinner with parents, how fear crept in while dad slowly faded away through the school bus window.

and now, the darkness of the night only comes down to us, hopelessly staring at our cellphone screens, trying to make sense of our loneliness.

and, someday in the near future, while we are still drunk on meliorism, everything will come to an end.

then the exploding supernovae will whisper the universe a story, how science blew out the candle of love..
