so many desperate hearts
they are only looking for love
she fell in love with a hawk
she thought he was a dove

the first time our eyes met
possibilities filled my heart
you smiled at me softly
i could feel that spark

the first time our hearts met
you made my still blood flow
we stayed up late, just talking
about things we didn't know

the first time our skin met
the warmth then filled my veins
we started a fire together
making love in the rain

.
.
.

the first time our egos met
the collision took it's toll
we got lost in the explosion
where did our pieces go?

.
.
.

the last time our eyes met
you were driving away
you looked toward me blankly
with nothing left to say

Can we be lovers if we hate one another?
Love and hate, closer than you think
Stemming from passion and passion's all I've needed.

So, slam me on the bed,
Rip these clothes to shreds.
You hate me so good.

Yank my hair
Leave me gasping for air.
You hate me so good.

Can we be lovers if we hate one another?
And the answer is yes,
It's always ever been, yes.
***** girl. god beast.

I think
Life's amazing &
I hate everything

at the same time.

I live in a state of mind.

this is
pure ******
self loathing.

cloven toed beast thing
clothed in the evening
jovially feasting
on the seedling souls &
the gold seeping thru
holes in the ceiling

cold concrete beings
with a billion eyes
that could **** em all
with the things they seen.

I can't 'just believe.'

There's way too much
wrong with me.

Just how I like it.
Part two.

she liked the way he drank straight whiskey
he liked the way she would dance
he said "darlin, if i died would you miss me?"
she said, "I am willing to take that chance"

she said, "honey, life is just a party"
he said "baby, i love your skirt"
she jumped on the back of his harley
she said, "let's live it for all it's worth"

he was doing 90, and still had throttle
she had her arms around him, tight
he said "i'm not worried about tomorrow"
"as long as we have tonight"

if you ask me "what are perfect words?"
i'd say, "they're the ways and means to escape"
like the songs of the birds, i play
I can make you dream while you're still awake
forgive me...i am experimenting with commas, and quotations, and how speech can come across in poetry. don't tell me about any rules...
we are the raging portrait of lust, tangled in a mess of sensation, kaleidoscope of color and melodies of sanction--
we hum with ancient urges and vibrations.

fingers and hard planes, bodies like constellations, lips that are stained in stardust--
flying comets, gravity is our force.
we can't deny physics, we can't change our course.

worship, cherish, release. over and over. til i hear nothing but your name emanating from my throat, enthralled.

darling, love is luminescent
and we are its very stars.
Distance can't keep us from inevitable collison. Come together. I mean that both ways.
Your words are dull knives
With a tendency to leave a bruise
Who taught you to speak bullets
Without considering the exit wound?
Are we simply soldiers
Marching in fields of decaying youth
Or are we stars, burning out,
Supernovas of mistaken truths?

We will drown in the rain, the waves, trembling under the thunderous voices of those who oppose us. We are more than flesh and blood, we are stardust.
