Melody D Gibson May 2011
This distance, this chasm
this great divide,
You are falling further away from me
Like the ebb of the
nightly tide.
Lapping at my shores
yet so quickly to retreat,
Like sharing time with the enemy
and never admitting defeat.
As our passion increases
this violent love we share,
Falls apart like time
That has no current affair.
My love for you is
as eternal as the sunshine-
As sweet as nectered fruit
that entice from bended vine.
And like our love
they will decay
If not daily caressed and pruned,
So I will lie in wait for your sun
To chase away my moon.

She said,
Stand still
Young soul
and be here now,
While we stared from her bed
and waited
for the flies to come out
so we could catch them
and let them
turn the roofs of our mouths
yellow,
and i would hum Yellow.
Staring
******
I sit my turn
She said lessons,
lessons are repeated
til learned
and we would laugh
and waste away
the days we had earned
and fade to yellow.
And I would hum Yellow
I could use critiques on this... please forgive me...learning the sight.
