Have you ever seen a sunrise
As it climbs above the trees
Or, maybe, when is finally sets
And melts into the seas?

Have you ever felt the wind blow
As it's whispers thru your hair?
A force of nature we can't see
But yet, we know, it's there

Have you ever felt a raindrop
As it's rolling down your cheek
Or hear the sound the water makes
As it's running thru a creek?

Have you ever seen the lightning
As it lights the darkened skies
Or watch an eagle spread his wings
And wonder how he flies?

Have you ever heard the thunder
As it sounds it's mighty roar?
Never wondering even once
Is there something more?

Have you ever watched a snowflake
As it tumbles to the ground?
Marveling at its silence
When it doesn't make a sound

Have you ever thought of Heaven
And maybe think it odd?
How can someone see these things
And not believe in God?
Have you ever felt alone in a crowd?
Have you ever wanted it to be quiet, when it's loud?
Have you ever felt a stare, only to find no-one there?
Have you ever wanted to find out that the truth is a lie?
Have you ever wanted just to die?
Have you ever wanted to disappear never to return?
Have you ever felt a person's concern?
Have you ever felt the need to confirm your worth?
Have you ever felt circumstantial?
Excess to requirement?
Devoid of refinement?
At times this need within gets loose,
its box devoid of empathy and feeling
it leaves you reeling, freewheeling into nothing but oblivion*.

Have you ever loved someone so much
That you cannot live without them?

Have you ever loved someone so much
That all you think about is them?

Have you ever loved someone so much
That you keep a picture of them just to get you through the day?

Have you ever loved someone so much.
That you can smell them when they are not there?

Have you ever loved someone so much.
That you can feel them when they are not there.

Have you ever loved someone so much
That the sound of their voice makes your heart skip a beat?

Have you ever loved someone so much
That hearing or seeing their name makes you smile?

I have. Who was it?
It IS you! 31

I love you baby! You are my world!

Have you ever wonder where all the
balloons go once you set them free?
Have you ever just wonder, because it
seemed like the world stood still?
Have you ever wondered that, when
you wonder for so long that
your body is still & your soul dances?
Have you ever wonder?
Have you ever heard Silence
roar & be the loudest of them all?
Have you ever cried because there is
nothing else you could do?
Have you ever watch the leaves run
across the street as the wind screams?
Have you ever smile after knowing
you did something great?
Have you ever count sheep?
Have you ever pictured better?
Have you ever thought to yourself
"what if"?
Have you ever gave up because you knew
it was a lot?
Have you ever felt so depressed; it started
to ruin you?
I have wondered.
My body is still and my mind
wonders into this other place where
things are better & people are winsome
but when I let my mind wonder for so long I begin to cry
& every drop slithers down my face
onto my pillow.

Have you ever...

Heard a color? Seen a sound?
Smelled a thought, or all around,
Traversed an inward universe,
Where waves of mind abound?

Have you ever...

Climbed upon a ray of light,
Ascending towards the peak, and
Visited a place, of which
Mere words could never speak?

Have you ever,

Felt yourself expanding,
Out into the atmosphere, and
Glimpsed your tiny world below,
While laughing at your fear?

Have you ever...

Stepped outside that little box,
The one that some call "you?" and
Probed the depths, to question
Why you do the things you do?

Well,

...have you?

Have you ever felt
Like crawling out of your skin
Like you’ll just never win

Have you ever felt
Like the walls are closing in around you
And you have no place to run to

Have you ever felt
Like life has already passed you by
You have no tears left to cry

Have you ever felt
What is the point of going on
Every reason to wake up is totally gone

Have you ever felt*
The way I feel
If you do, I hope you will heal

The passion for writing heats the coal
igniting with every inspiration
luminous flames within the soul
will melt together a beautiful creation

Pieced of moments that you can't escape
extinguished love that made you fall
burned memories closed off with tape
a poem is the victim of it all

As embers smolder, waiting to ignite
by troubles in life that will inspire
a beautiful poem to rise in the night
set by arsonists, a poets fire.

No one falls for the poets
We are a bunch of lonely souls
No matter how sweet the words
They all seem oversold

See poets, we all know
The agony life will bring
This affects the way we think
As we live with the constant sting

It’s hard to knock down all our walls
It’s hard for us to let you in
You’ll start thinking we’re not worth the time
And end up leaving in the end

I guess that’s why our poems
Have such profound emotion
We have no one else to vent to
These feelings deep as an ocean

Maybe it’s for the best
That no one falls for poets
It’s the hardships we face in life
That make our words like bullets

Hopefully one day
Someone will fall for me
I doubt it would ever happen
But hey, poets do dream
As poets our lives must seem too short,
and filled with so much pain.
We seldom receive recognition in time,
no sunshine, to brighten our rain.

But as poets we live more than most,
the good times and the bad,
and we get to share our adventures with you,
dear reader, both happy and sad.

But what catches your eye, and comforts your soul,
are the tragedies we relay.
Because there is always some comfort in finding,
you're not the first, to come this way.

And so as poets, we continue to write
and attempt to connect with our words,
to the people who know, why we do what we do,
and not those who think its for the birds.
