What Has Happened To Me?
MdAsadullah Mar 2018
Jittery blood in my veins.
Violently pulsating heart.
Anxious thoughts jam-packed.
Will my head rip apart?

Smile miles away from lips.
Big vaccum in my chest.
Weak body much exhausted.
Fragile brain is so stressed.

Eyes holding sudden flood.
Echoes of familiar sound.
Scenes of past flash by.
Nostalgic vibes all around.

I am not me, I am not me.
What has happened to me?

No Matter...
MdAsadullah Mar 2018
No matter how much I resist.
No matter how much I try.
I can never remain me.
With those I interact with
And all those who pass by,
Leave something of them in me.
But it is not one way round.
In them something of me you'll see.

Blues
MdAsadullah Mar 2018
Cut me with tongue, be rude to me.
Look down on with disdain.
Be as blunt as you can be.
Let the words be severe.
Let it be as stern as it can be.
Aim and throw them like stones
Or like arrow it should flee.
Do all these again and again.
My Silence will be my shield;
And my smile will hide my pain.

No More
MdAsadullah Mar 2018
In sunshine and in rain.
I knocked the door.
Morning and evening.
I knocked the door.
Kept my ego in my pocket;
And I knocked the door.
Kept my self respect in my purse;
And I knocked the door.
Finally when door will open
It will be too late.
Silence will prevail all around;
And I will be found no more.

Graveyard
MdAsadullah Jan 2016
Austere, aged trees standing since years.
Shrubs, grasses and wild flowers abound.
Similar in appearance, grave after grave.
Serenity everywhere, tranquility surround.

But matter is different from beneath the earth.
Serenity is just an illusion beneath the skies.
Let not the perpetual calmness deceive them.
All those who look with their worldly eyes.

Their deeds accompany them in their graves.
All alone the dead ones never dwell.
Grave is but a garden from gardens of heaven.
Or it is just a pit from the pits of the hell.

Their obsession to conquer.
Their ancient desire to subdue.
They utilize every opportunity;
And stamp me with their shoe.

A fact they should have known.
Long ago I lost all my ******.
With the passage of time.
I have turned into dead dust.

Calmness is all what I needed.
Only if they had left me alone.
Like dust I would settled down.
Without force subdued on my own.

However, they stamp me repeatedly.
Big-chested, Arrogant guys!
But the more they stamp me,
The more like dust I rise.

' Id ' in my blood.
' Superego ' in my soul.

Both want to control.

Test Of 'Goodness'
MdAsadullah Dec 2015
Put 'Goodness' of a good man on test.
In moderate clime it might appear best.

Examine the 'Goodness' in extremes.
It will be different from what it seems.

Leave 'Goodness' under the desert sun.
To help 'Goodness' there should be none.

With magnifying glass check its sphere.
Cracks and fissures are sure to appear.

Now place 'Goodness' on mountaintop.
Keep it in position with the help of prop.

Leave it in Bone-chilling cold and depart.
Within days it will crumble and fall apart.

Civility of civilised on test.
Much arrogance and pride.
In extremes who's the best?

Insensitive to alien customs.
Insensitive to other's belief.
Then why teach tolerance?
Kindly explain, please debrief.

**** anti-Semitic cartoons!
Didn't it led to Death Camps.
Can we call this Freedom.
Ask yourselves, O Champs!

I am Charlie! I am Charlie!
The echoing words I hear.
I am Kouchi! I am Kouchi!
Might be heard I fear.
Let me first condemn all acts of terror. If 12 year old girl commits suicide after being mocked relentlessly by her classmates can we say like Hebdo her classmates have the right of freedom of expression? And if the vicious mockery of alien beliefs and customs is just form of free speech, what is the point of teaching tolerance and cultural diversity? line must be drawn between free speech and hate speech.

Charlie Hebdo
MdAsadullah Jan 2015
Can we call it freedom if it divides?
Is it correct to ridicule revered name?
Was that in defence of freedom?
Or was that for easy money and fame?

They went on with their provocations;
And justified it with arguments lame.
Numerous hearts were agonised.
But few turned wild, difficult to tame.

Extreme provocations and insults.
In the name of ' Freedom of speech'
Extreme response and harshest reply.
To avenge the insult and to teach.

When one's ' Freedom of Expression ';
Gives one the ' Freedom to insult '.
Hatred and dissension are promoted;
And can lead to horrifying result.
Thumbs up to freedom of speech , A strict No for Freedom to Insult.

Stopped to look at the hare.
And scared the tiny blue bird.

And plucked flowers from a tree.

Baffled, surprised he looked at me.

He ran towards the narrow ravine.
And disappeared into bushes green.

And if unexpectedly I turn into

So that Haply some explorer

So that some thirsty in mirage

A curious child asked ' what is life? '
I ignored with a smile dainty, nice.
' What is life? ', ' what is life? '
Pulling my shirt child asked twice.

I took dust from ground.
And flew it in the sky.
Took him close to the ocean.
And flung a droplet nigh.

Showed leaves green on tree.
And how yellow beneath soughed.
Showed the smoke flying high.
And how it vanished into the cloud.

For a child answer was concise.
And I thought it would suffice.

Yesterday on bus
MdAsadullah Dec 2014
Yesterday night I was there on a bus.
Road was jammed and was a muss.
Bus was empty, travelers were few.
Amidst the jam it crawled through.

Soon I got curious about two old chaps;
Sitting on seats marked 'for handicaps'.
They were different from common folk.
Without making any sound they spoke.

To talk some sign language they used.
I didn't understand and was confused.
Different ****** expression they made.
Lips and hands moved, heads swayed.

With hand they wrote on other's hand.
They savvied but I didn't understand.
On the next stoppage halted the bus.
Holding each other both left without fuss.

I looked but my vision came to a naught;
Mind got occupied with their thought.
Many languages recognized and known.
But their language had beauty of its own.

Allah was his ears
As sounds unlawful, unethical it never heard.
Secrets, gossips and rumours were also barred.
It buzzed with words of Quran day and night
Always Open to sounds just and upright.

Allah was his eyes
As it looked parents, orphans and needy with love
Brimmed with tears thinking of Almighty above
It never despised his brother and from lust it was freed.
Gold and silver had no worth and had no signs of greed.

Allah was his hands
As it stopped things reprehensible with force
In Allah's cause spent abundantly his resource
It caressed the head of an orphan in affection.
Time and again meekly raised it in supplication.

Allah was his feet
As it never moved towards things which Allah hate
Avoided walking arrogantly with a strutting gait
It always ran to help downtrodden, oppressed.
For knowledge for light it was on constant quest.

He had mountains of obligatory good deeds
He had mountains of non-obligatory good deeds
His protector was Allah The Almighty
His enemy was enemy of Allah The Almighty
He was beloved of Allah
He was friend of Allah
He was Wali of Allah
He was Waliullah.
