No - don’t kiss me
unless you're planning to
start a new habit.

Don't borrow kisses
unless you can return them
with real interest.

Remember boy-O
it's all fun and games 'til
someone falls in love.
three haikus - about kisses borrowed - not stolen  =]

Hush, lullay.

Your treasures all

Encrust with rust,

Your trinket pleasures fall

        To dust.

Beneath the sapphire arch,

Upon the grassy floor,

Is nothing more

        To hold,

And play is over-old.

Your eyes

        In sleepy fever gleam,

Their lids droop

        To their dream.

You wander late alone,

The flesh frets on the bone,

Your love fails in your breast,

Here is the pillow.

Rest.

Let me write you into a fantasy,
spin your fingertips through a maze,
weaving the freckles on your arms into
the things that you crave.
The frustration will shatter
like the plates you have always secretly wanted strewed
across the kitchen floor.
Glass dust rests
in the creases and,
though you warned me to wear shoes,
remain endlessly embedded in my heels.
I will lift up my legs and let you see,
to try to catch a glimpse of your own reflection,
the sparkle past your eyes that match the glint
of glass in my skin.
“See?” I would say,
arms tight around your chest, eyes
clenched shut buried
in the damp nape
of your neck.

Let me become your time vessel.
Rewind, two years,
you are still you and I am still me,
pressed up against the corner
of one of your kitchen counters.
Your ghost whisper lingers
in my ear,
“You’re giving me goose bumps.”
I will bring you through time,
jumping moment
to moment,
a rush of feeling settling in
the pit of your stomach.
You are blindsided,
tangled in the clutches of each second wasted
and ignited into gray ash.
When I am your time vessel, those seconds will be collected
and stored, so you can replay them over
and over and eventually
you will understand
the implications,
you will find the meaning,
you will learn to be happy again.

Let me count your bruises.
Red-faced and breathless,
you push the world away
only to fall back into the carpet again.
Each exhale jagged but controlled,
a bead of sweat forming like tears
against your wrinkled forehead.
An instant clouded by exertion, hearing nothing but
the sharp intake of breath.
I will lie next to you with my hair
above me, hands cupping ears.
And as you lift
your shoulders
off the ground, I will count for you.
Two Amber Eyes Stare,
Right Into My Very Own,
The Notes Of A Song,
Wistfully Grew In The Trees,
And Filled My Deflated Lungs

Im brain washed, brain dead..
Out of my many stories..
None were ever read..

So many secrets..
All still remain unspoken..
Broken and barried..

My lies have built up..
Bodies about to explode..
Wisdom carries all..

My brain hurts, always..
My heart aches from the longing..
How long will this take..

Forever more breaks..
But you never fail to help..
Join me someway..

Your words get me through..
This pain I have bottled up..
You understand me..

Your eyes keep me sane..
They help keep evil away..
Superman, save me..
Pretenses shot down dead tonight
Not wasting time
I want to hold you tighter than the armor I wore for too long
I want to peel off your layers, clothes,
Get to your core, till you're sore
I want to lay each other bare
No concern with who you're supposed to be
Just be who you are with me
I want to run with you faster than our racing hearts
Till they give out old and cold
I want late night fights
Violent as a volcano
If only for the make up ***
I want to loose ourselves in each other
More comfortable than memory foam
Just lay outside amazed at how it feels so right
I want to spend hours in you eyes
More awe inspiring than Gogh's Stary Night
aurora borealis, radiant eclipse, in your eyes
Cake in the morning ice cream in the evening
I want to chart your skin
map it better than the back of my hand
navigate your curves as we curve the planet
As we embrace the night you make me want to see in the dark
As we run into the day you make me want to keep you to myself
As long as it's with you it's what I want, and I want it all.
I see the way you walk.
The way you don't want to talk.
The way you wish you could smile,
Make a smile that would stretch a mile.
But you've been hurt before,
And you still don't no what for.
You were the best you could be,
Everyone would look and see.
The way you had wished to smile,
The way you didn't want to be vile.
How you had wanted to be happy,
To experience a true kind of sappy.
You may lie and say you like the pain,
That you dont want a cute pet name.
But you and i both no thats false.
You want to finish the clause,
To finish your story with glee.
To live life, perhaps with me.
To have this angel sweep you away,
Tell you everything will be okay.
To show you the sappy ways,
To make you smile for days.
Just give me a chance i promise,
You'll never go walking about amiss.
Ill hold you close and tight,
Make your darkness turn to light,
Tell you your a princess and deserve the best,
Go ahead put me through any test.
Just open your eyes you'll see,
That you and me may just be.
This angel will save the Phoenix,
Ill pull you out of the ashes,
Set your heart free once again,
Let you live life not in suspend.
Give you a reason to say amen,
I just want you to laugh with me,
I just want you to see.
That your amazing baby,
Don't let anyone steer you wrong,
Your one in a million ***.

Pull the curtain from over your eyes
See beyond the constructed lies

Stop your judging and demented cries
Of those whose point of view you deny

Feign ignorance to the truth you will not see
Watch the tide rise as common sense recedes

Hunker down in your dogmatic cocoon
Only to emerge and naive buffoon

Logic and science are trickery and bewitchment
Such are the thoughts of the ignorant

Stick to your beliefs and fears like glue
For you read it in a sacred book so it must be true

Ask no questions and deny no absolutes
See where that takes you if you are so resolute

Watch the world crumble around you and blame the devil
For hes the creator of all ills and evil revel

Watch the powers that be consume and destroy
As they take away all living things health and joy

Pretend I offend your moral code
But deep down inside you fester with hypocritical mold

To NOT ask questions and seek new ways
Is to annihilate the future of all earthly days
