I never had a room.
Well, I had a room
But, I was allergic to dust.
I am allergic to dust.
So, early on
She took all the books
Off the cold off-white metal shelves
That clanked and groaned
Under their weight
Put the humidifier in
And let the velvety steam
Perspire on my peach painted walls.
I think they were peach.
Maybe another hue of pink.
Which I grew to hate
Because she slept in blue.
A fragment of my childhood.

She remembers his touch,
His desire to
Please.
----------------------------------------
Not for the sake of reward,
Just out of love
Love.
----------------------------------------
She yearns to feel
Him
Firmer, Fiercer.
----------------------------------------
She squirms
Beneath his
Grip.
----------------------------------------
“You don’t look
Like
you want me to stop.”
----------------------------------------
A flutter; a
Gasp.
Enough.
----------------------------------------
Release before –
She
Can’t let go.

Why do we crave?

Galactic domes
Envelop the sky
Geometric tesselations
Mimic starry nights.

White cubes reside
Caressed by the sea
Freckled light tunnels
Flicker vivaciously.

Dawn of humanity
6500 BCE, Jordanian shores
Brought forth
Two-headed sculptures.

Shoulder blades
Sharpened
Etched
Onto her
Skin
Jutting out.

Feathers
Quivering
Aching
To
Be
Released.

They ***** her
She bleeds
Tread lightly.
Beware
Those
Troubled eyes.

Shadows
Ripple
Across
The stained
Canvas
Of her –

Heart.
Downtrodden
Beaten down
By their
Cacophonous
Drum.

Taste
Of the
Sea
Runs
Down
Her cheek.

A
Lone
Stream
Relentlessly
Pours
Past –

The
Murky
Land
Of
Dying
Trees.

Wasteland
Barren
Save
The
Withered
Rose

It speaks –
Its final
Breath,
A
Parting
Note:

“Do you
See splendor
In those
Placid
Cobalt
Eyes?

Or is
My inner
Purity
Revealed
At
Last –

That is
Betrayed
By
An
Alluring
Form.”

Silence
She waits
And
Weakens
In putrid
Earth.

~
He's gone.
                                                                                          She'll never know.
