John F McCullagh
As he watched her walk away,
fading quickly in the dark.
He fought back a sob, a tear,
as he nursed his broken heart.
She had made her choice at last
and brought an end to their affair.
A universe of might- have- beens
vanished in that cold night's air.
How bleak his future looked right then
for she would not dwell there.
Triangles are difficult
and swans belong in pairs.
His children he saw in her eyes
now never would be born.
He would find another Lover
but never Rose without a thorn.
The end of a love triangle.  In the denouement she married neither.

John F McCullagh
When he rose to speak, I pitied him,
that tall, ungainly, man.
His speech was high pitched, regional,
but clear to understand.
An inner fire burned in him,
his spirit fairly glowed.
His eyes and voice enchanted us
despite his rustic clothes.
The constitution was his text;
By chapter verse and line
He taught us what the founders meant,
the thoughts that filled their minds.
He said a true Republican
would not bid slaves to rise.
John Brown was no Republican,
his actions were unwise.
He explained the Government
could forbid slavery's spread.
The Union is a sacred trust
and must be preserved, he said.
I felt my heart on fire
when I heard him speak tonight.
When I saw his homely features
Transfigured by the light.
This Lincoln must be reckoned with;
if the South misunderstands,
They'll be tears and lamentations
around hearths in Dixie Land.

Infamous one
Told to be someone else
All I wanted was to be me
Did a job and ******* over with my pay
Never advancing any way
She claimed to love
but there was someone else
Promising words not honored
Full of broken promises
Do this do that but it went no where
Should've done it or could've done it
Of course it didn't get done
Fake friends bad mouthing
Call them on it they deny and lie
Tired of all the short comings
Short end of the stick
Practiced and worked hard
pulled from the project
Given to the wrong person
Instead of who deserved it the most

Can i be your angel for awhile?
Can i be your guardian angel, if you dont mind?
Im the little naughty, silly angel and I can grant all your wishes!

Three wishes is all you need
But just promise one thing?
Can you promise me to treasure me and keep me in your pocket?^^
Three wishes... Three wishes...

Your angel to protect you from strangers
Your angel to make you smile if you're sad
Your angel to be by your side
Your angel to guide you to the path

If you can have your wishes, please don't forget me okay? ^

I know you can't see meĀ
I know you can't touch me
Cause im only a poet

Make memories and be happy (:

Like those quiet birds flying above the sky
Like the movies we watched together
Like we talk about our futureĀ
I and you laugh and cry together
I never expect this unbearable feeling

Listening to the elders read their favorite books
Like the old times
Like the kids played along
Like the music that we used to listen
I never felt this way

It's odd how we met
It's odd how we feel
It's odd how we tenderly whispers the magical words so true
It's odd how we feel the same way
It's odd that I can't deny the fact that *'i love you'

Infamous one
I started writing
I got asked what I was writing
I told them my life
Oh so you're writing a comedy
I joked yeah it was suppose to be a suicide letter
But it became my biography
Everytime others ask I give them a different story
I write monologue for my standup routine
No one gets the joke
I wonder if they are listening
When I'm serious I get a laugh
When I joke they take me serious
Writing is my outlet
Hoping one day I might be understood

Cold bodies.
Devilish grins plastered over greyed faces,
dripping with glee
and dragging limbs.
As rotted flesh closes in,
yearning to grip and pull.
Bite into the sweets, ripened.
To break the seal,
bursting blood red to splatter.
Tear with teeth.
Wanting it, so badly.......
beyond the fence
topped with barbed wire
repeatedly pressing against.
How much strain,
how much push till it breaks
and falls to the ground
to release the horde.
To feast on the world.
A zombie poem, I guess...

The rain would usually bother me
but today I'm tired
and sickness and intoxication are both wearing off
so each little droplet does nothing to phase me
from my half awake daydreaming state
staring into others faces,
just aware enough to turn when they turn.
Most days I would study each line-
the smiles, the wrinkles, the way their hair parts
just trying to understand each of them.
Today I'm looking just to look at something moving
so I don't look at the concrete
and fall asleep, bored.

The three other classes on this end of campus
are each let out early
and file through this bottleneck
quietly enough that I only notice the last few as they walk by.
She looks up from the ground and sees me.
Saying nothing, she smiles in a way that makes me wonder if she's looking past me,
I look, there's nothing there.
I smile back for a second, as well as I can.

Later I catch her smile again from a crowd in the hall.

I stop for a second,
not physically, I keep waking.
but, I keep my eyes there, smiling.
she's already looked away, so I don't worry.
It comes harder to me today- studying a face,
and her's is one I've never been able to figure out,
so I give up and keep walking.

Am I a friend to her,
or something more?
Am I what I wanted to be
years ago-
A thought in her head before she falls asleep?

Or am I just broken because I think this hard about a simple smile?

Ocean of sounds,
lights are forever,
Gods,
are forgotten,
while man,
is forever,
like a lost letter,
like an abondoned car,
like a kiss,
like her eyes,
that Sailors and jail keepers,
carve her image,
onto wood,
Ocean of thoughts,
storm of eyes,
palm of hope,
palm of destiny,
as we all,
sigh,
reminiscing.
