Sometimes the wind sighs
And I remember
Through a haze far away
Rising like a swelling tide
That rolls in and out over my insides

You chase butterflies bare handed
Always coming up empty
Until the storm comes
Your dilated pupils the sea's breath held still
Shimmering anticipation in the eye of the storm

The wind sweeps withering words
Seething at the edges
Flaring up in wild expectation
Like dark and nervous whispering
Black fanged, angry and terrified

Lashing out as gales
Tormenting the waters
Tearing and screeching
Screaming until it dies away
Leaving behind a small voice in tatters
Broken on the rocks of a wilder sea
Where calm is just an enemy in a different shade of blue
oh what a beauty fate has brought
oh what a tragedy faith has caused
crying and screaming and dying inside
because every human's made of lies
but every lover will find
their way back home
where they belong
opinions please!!

Let my tired heart rest
Let me sink into Mother Earth's breast
Touch me with your soft hands
Take my souls to an undiscovered land

Close my eyelids as I struggle to sleep
Sing me a song as the skies weep
Tell me stories of happiness and woe
All this I ask for you to bestow

My souls pleads for eternal peace
To cease the pain of my mind's disease
I cry and beg, 'please, end this now!'
Let us exchange our deadly vows

Death, O Death please come and take me away
This world does not want me hence I can no longer stay
Take me away to an unknown land
Save me from myself by touching me with your soft hand

The waves brush my toes
to keep me away from the water
The sand tickles my feet,
as the sun falls into deep slumber
The tress groan as its branches and the wind
   twirl around each other
All of these happened
as I walk on a beach in a boring afternoon in summer.

The children's feet dropped to a beat
as they stomped through the leaves on the ground,
The trees let the wind blow their leaves off
as they turn from green to brown
The night grow longer and colder
as the moon calls for winter to come
All of these happened
in a peaceful day in autumn.

The Christmas lights blinked
as merrily as the dancing of the icy cold winds
As the sun shies away from the ice covered towns,
   the moon grinned
The snow angels sand beautiful songs,
as the lakes and rivers sparkle in glitter,
All of these happened
   in a white chilly winter.

The leaves start to grow back
as the trees hummed to a sweet song to the hills,
As the sun cheers and smiles brightly,
   the blue sky remained still
The people greet each other on the pavements,
as the new bird harmoniously sings
All of these happened
in a calm and happy morning in spring.

O morning sky of endless blue
Tinged with purply-pinky hue
You tell me of His mercies new
Whose heart pursues my own

O geese in wingèd winter's flight
Your honking cries arouse delight
And lift my gaze to seek thy sight
As wooing from His hand

O softest breeze which skims my face
And stirs with such mysterious grace
My soul to reach for Love’s embrace
You brush me with His kiss

O snowflakes falling to the ground
You pierce my heart without a sound
To crave a purity only found
Beneath a bloodied cross

O setting sun in half-light glowing
Waning day’s last glorious blush showing
You paint with fire my spirit’s own knowing—
This life is fading fast

O stars of midnight’s blackest sky
Paraded forth, you pull my eye
Toward One Who speaks this ceaseless cry:
“I’m coming back for you.”

O creeping fog to dawn’s light clinging
You whisper, Love’s veiled message bringing,
With haunting echoes faintly singing,
“Lose all of you in Him.”

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."  ~ Psalm 19:1-4a
