Aura,
My lips are pressed against your ear.
     Listen carefully; do not forget.
     Deliver my message swiftly.

Dryads,
     Sway gently, laugh gaily.
Fill the sky with red and green.
     Bloom with my unspoken emotions.

Selene,
     Beautiful with all the imperfections.
     Darkness falls and you listen.
     Know my dreams and pains.

Chiron,
Shin bright up high and counsel.
Helios,
Explode in magnificence; weave a golden cloak.

I would love to spend a day in the forest.
Detached from the noise, fully immersed in Nature.
Silent and ruminating.
Books, pencils, paper
And my thoughts. . .

The winged creatures, in and out of the leaves
Bambi, are you near?
Wind kisses my cheeks when I need it
And ruffles my hair when I don't.

Well, Tree, what do you have to say?
Anything for me?
A leaf lands on my foot
And I wrap my arms around Juniper.

Of time I would be ignorant
But Sun might tell me through the canopy.
Slow but unafraid would be lovely. . .

My toes felt a cold wet body rub against it,
Too close for me to move.
A neck circles my ankle,
Cooling one of my weary feet.
Around my leg it tightened.
My thigh it licked.
Submitting, shivering with confusion.
The bone of my hip cupped, grabbed with force.
Full of intent, it climbed like a vine.
My naked back, my bare body.
Finally it rested on my shoulder
With its tongue on my jaw.
