The Old Magnolia Tree
Louis Brown Jan 2011
Beneath the old magnolia tree
I used to hold you close to me
And there I carved upon that tree
That I loved you and you loved me

Beneath the white magnolia blooms
You cast a spell with your perfume
I believed those wooden words were true
Ingrained in hearts of me and you

But time wears out what boys engrave
Nothing's left of the love you gave
Except that old magnolia scar....
I wish our love had come so far

Yeah, I wish those words were still on track
Cause every spring I dream me back
To tender lips and sweet perfume
Beneath the white magnolia blooms

But time wears out what boys engrave
Nothing's left of the love you gave
Except that old magnolia tree
Reminding me.....reminding me......

Crossroad
Louis Brown Sep 2012
I came upon a crossroad
I had to figure out
If I should take the road with you
Or take the one without

I came up a crossroad
I chose to let you go
Not because I didn't care
Because I love you so

You see I thought that we could find
A better road alone
We were born in different worlds
Too different to be one

I came upon a crossroad
And did what I had to do
But the hardest thing I ever did....
Was turn away from you

GOOGLE’S LOVE ADVICE
© Louis Brown

His relationship with girls was somewhat awful
He'd used less than brilliance in that world
So he searched the internet for wisdom he could get
To get some ***** kisses from the girls

Folks told him Google had a lot of answers
And he learned a lot by reading Romeo
And since he studied Hindu, they like what he is into
He's popular with all the girls he knows

IT JUST TOOK SOME GOOGLE’S LOVE ADVICE
NOW IN HIS ARMS THEY WANT HIS LOVING THRICE
AND OLE GOOGLE TAUGHT HIM PLOYS
PUTTING SHAME TO ALL THE BOYS
IT JUST TOOK SOME GOOGLE’S LOVE ADVICE

He found they wanted more than pretty roses
And though some sweet perfume may change their mood
The **** tips He googled means overtures by the oodles
The girls all want a piece of this young dude

So now his black book's full of pretty girls
And they call him well before he starts his day
Every time he learns new angles they love to get entangled
Learning those love lessons from Bombay.

CHORUS

Bridge:  Old Google taught him every new approach
Now when it comes to romance he's the coach……..

Mind of a Songwriter
Louis Brown Oct 2011
Her smile can break

A lot of hearts

She's left a lot of hurting

But that hourglass

And that pretty as....er angel

She's already glad

You're flirting

If it won't last long

It's all okay

You can find another pasture

But for that much gain

It's worth some pain

So go ahead and ask her

Cause a perfect ten

In the eyes of men

Makes a sweet night to remember

And you can hope

She'll hit high notes

With such a pleasant timbre

That, that whole scene

Arranged perfectly

Will be a memory for the ages

Or with a microphone

You could make a song

To climb high on Billboard's pages
Louis Brown Sep 2010
They put me by the door
And I could see below
800 feet to the ground
A solid green carpet
Looking soft enough to sleep on.
But the limbs underneath
Were sharp and deadly.
It wasn't a good day
For a jump I thought.
Who wants to jump out of a C-47
On their first airplane ride
Into the wild blue yonder--
No one with good sense
As I answered my own question.
I remembered hearing about
The guy who received a parachute
Not knowing it needed repair
But he had faith nothing happened
To a nice guy like him.
So when he jumped out
And didn't feel the jolt slow down
His descent to the ground
He looked up with panicked eyes
And saw the chute fluttering away.
He muttered a few cuss words
When he saw the ground come fast.
He didn't pull his reserve in time
And never heard the deadly thud.
Those were my thoughts
As the T-7 parachute
Opened with the snap of a whip
Just as the parachutist behind me
Started walking on my canopy.
I could see his boots sink in deep
And I hollared, get your sorry *** off
You low life no good *******--
A panic lingo that flowed out
Because I was scared crapless
At the turn of events.
Luckily my chute didn't collapse
And his chute started floating away.
No harm done except my nerves
Were a little frayed.
It only takes about 8-10 seconds
To get to the ground
From the time you leave the plane.
So I looked down and there it was
With the wind blowing about 20 knots.
I could feel myself swaying
Much like a pendulum on a clock.
I wasn't trained to land on my back
As I'd learned the five point landing technique
But then the ground slammed my rear
With a sledge hammer effect
Knocking the light off in my brain.
But I must have awakened shortly
As the wind had opened my canopy
Dragging me across the rocky landing zone
Till I became aware and remembered
To pull the bottom risers on my chute
To empty the air from it
So I could roll on top of it.
Then an instructor came by yelling
Get your *** up soldier
And take your chute back where you got it.
I responded accordingly
Wanting to keep my nose clean
And make the rest of my jumps
So I could get my Parachutist Wings.
It would take 4 more jumps that week.
I had to meet those requirements
Or they would send my derriere oveseas
Where a war was going on.
That was all the incentive I needed
To bust my **** gladly
And claw my way to paratrooper status.
Geronimo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
I thought sheepishly to myself
For my not so altruistic bravado.

Metamorphosis At Wildhorse
Louis Brown Feb 2011
They all start looking good

At one a.m.

A mystical transformation

Alters them

At eight o’clock it seemed

A scene like Halloween

Now behold the angels

The chorus girls

And living dreams

Much like a beauty pageant

Each with her diadem

They all start looking good

At one a.m.

Valleys of the Moon
Louis Brown Aug 2010
Old man they say there's magic
In your friendly face above
They say your smile can turn the tide
And inspire a human love
So I prayed you'd sprinkle moondust
On her sweet lips soft and warm
So when I get to kiss her
The kiss could last till dawn

But your old smile is only
Valleys of the moon
If lovers give you credit
I hate bursting their balloon
For her love would be all mine
If your magic was divine
Your smile is only
Valleys of the moon

Your skills are just a legend
Tied to that old cratered face
If you could cast a spell on her
I would know her warm embrace
But those asteroids that carved your smile
Were just an act of chance
You couldn't help me reach her
You know zero of romance

For your smile is only
Valleys of the moon
If lovers give you credit
I hate bursting their balloon
For her love would be all mine
If your magic was divine
Your smile is only
Valleys of the moon

I Came Upon a Crossroad
Louis Brown Dec 2010
I came upon a crossroad
With tears down either lane
I didn't want the parting fork
But both trails led to pain

I came upon a crossroad
Which hurt would I prefer
There was so much love to miss
If I should turn from her

But my heart believed we had a chance
For better roads alone
As opposites from different worlds...
Forever's just too long

I came upon a crossroad
I did what I had to do
But the hardest thing I ever did....
Was turn away from you

The Winds of Change
Louis Brown Jun 2015
The winds of change are rising
A dream is falling through
The winds of fate are blowing strong
You're wanting someone new

The winds of change are painful truths
I know I've lost my place
Don't have to read your mind to know
It's written on your face

STILL I KNOW I CAN NEVER CHANGE
SO I'LL JUST HAVE TO PRAY...
THE FICKLE WIND WILL RISE AGAIN
          AND BRING YOU BACK SOMEDAY

It's funny how you wanted me
Before I loved you so
Now that I can't hold it back
I feel that cold wind blow

           CHORUS
Louis Brown Jun 2013
“You have to love your neighbor”
He told to every throng
But one by one they turned away
He had to die alone
His was a  voice
Crying in the wilderness

“I have a dream”, the dark man said,
“Of peace on earth someday”
But hatred reigned in other hearts
And Martin was their prey
His was a voice
Crying in the wilderness

The man born in Hawaii
He struggles for the poor
Healthcare plans are his own cross
Where all can find a cure
Is his a  voice
Crying in the wilderness

Pray all good men will recognize
When hope is pushed aside
To rise against the chaos
Where love has been denied
When truth is lost
Crying in the wilderness

A Mosque Near GROUND ZERO??
Louis Brown Sep 2010
THE BIG JETS HIT THEIR TARGETS
TWIN TOWERS TUMBLED DOWN
BIN LADEN SMILES WHEN HE RECALLS
HIS FAVORITE KILLING GROUND
AMERICA'S DARKEST MOMENT
WHEN BLACK SMOKE FILLED THE AIR
AS STEEL AND MORTAR VANISHED
ONLY ANGELS WALKED THOSE STAIRS

CHORUS:
WE REMEMBER THAT SEPTEMBER
WHERE THE PAST IS ONE BAD DREAM
THOSE LOVED ONES LIVE WITHIN US
THERE'S NO CHANGING WHAT THEY MEAN
WE REMEMBER THAT SEPTEMBER
AND THE GRAVEYARD THAT WAS MADE
BY THOSE NINETEEN MUSLIM KILLERS.....
WHILE THE DEBT IS STILL UNPAID

AND NOW THEY WANT ANOTHER MOSQUE
NEAR VERY HALLOWED GROUND
TO BUILD  IT NEAR GROUND ZERO
IS AN INSULT SO PROFOUND
AND WHERE THEY'VE BUILT THEIR TEMPLES
THEY'VE BROUGHT MILITANTS WITH CLAWS
THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR WOMEN
SELLING ISLAM'S THEIR GREAT CAUSE

CHORUS:
WE REMEMBER THAT SEPTEMBER
WHERE THREE THOUSAND BURNED AND SCREAMED
NOW THOSE LOVED ONES LIVE WITHIN US
TIME WON'T CHANGE HOW MUCH THEY MEAN
WE REMEMBER THAT SEPTEMBER
AND THE GRAVEYARD THAT WAS MADE
BY THOSE NINETEEN MUSLIM KILLERS.....

Neglected Area
Louis Brown Nov 2010
Where jungles stood
Great cities rise
On desert wasteland
New farmland lies
Where man aspired
To rearrange
He dreamed a dream
And made a change
His mind is such
A shaping force
You wonder why
Man treds a course
Indulging pride
Enslaved to greed
For inexorably
They lead
To mercenary depths
So deep
His God must sit alone
And weep
As man improves
Each varied part
Except for his
Primeval heart

The Gentle Part of Me
Louis Brown Sep 2013
I've looked at star filled skies
At life in microscopes
I've stared at hills and oceans
To find connectivity
But I have found
I see You clearest
Not looking past this skin
For You're the best in me
When I see gentleness
Like giving of myself
Being kind to others
Helping weaker ones I see
Caring for older beings
Showing youth the paths
And scorning selfishness
I see that love must be
His modus operandi
That is what I recognize
When everything is said and done
He is the grains on sandy beaches
He is the fish beneath the sea
He is the galaxy afar
The very tiny microbe
Everything I see
And finally
Whatever else
God is love in me
Louis Brown Aug 2011
They come meekly, humbly
To build their New York mosque
In peace and feigned love
And then in time they change
And when their power is grown
They tell you they are real
The true church of the world
And those who will not join
Are lowly infidels
An insult to their god
Without a right to live
Their armies come
Just like in centuries past
And cut off heads
Of non-believers
Do we want them here
In free America
To mutilate our girls
And make them less than dogs
They made a killing ground
One day on 9/11
When Islam spawned hatred
Blew our towers to dust
And Americans splattered pavement
Oh how they danced with glee
From Karachi to Tehran
In time they dream to dominate
From Maine to Key West
From Georgia to L.A.
With hate filled ancient laws
The code of Sharia
Shoved in our passive faces
Well, as for me
They can shove it up
Their camel sweaty *****
I say go to hell
You ignorant aberrations
But don't come here
We need no more of you
You murdering *******

Honesty 101
Louis Brown Nov 2010
It's up to me to build the future
With committment in my heart
Being honest with my neighbors
Is the point where I must start
A life must  always aim for truth
No hypocrisy prevail
With no blemish in my make up
If I aim for less I fail
Integrity to one another
Puts a deeper trust in place
To uphold that awesome value
Is to lift the human race
I must always stand on honor
And be forthright to the bone
Always strive to be less selfish
Where no evil turns me wrong
There will be  a better future
On that loftier plateau
God will bless me for the wisdom
If I choose that course to grow
When I truly ply those basics
There's a difference I can make
I must be a good example.....
Our third planet is at stake

I love to circumspectly stare

At your Gucci underwear

I love to rip it off once more

And see it crumpled on the floor

I love to kiss you Paris style

It makes my heart beat, oh, so wild

As I make progress toward my goal

To put some rapture in your soul

Come with me to sweet Valhalla

While you're whooping, I will holler

In that celebration glory

****, I like a red hot story

It might last a hundred years

But if we don't please have no fears

We'll stay close on our connector

Till our last drop of heaven's nectar

I came to you, oh mighty land
Asleep to everything at hand
Lethargic from more southern air
Not yet awakened, unaware
The panorama I beheld
Composed a view unparalleled
A pastor with his best endeavor
Could preach forever and forever
And never say with words as clear
As the aura of this atmosphere
In the awe inspiring craggy peaks
And the chasms as His silence speaks
Where His creation stirs conviction
That brings a balming benediction
To one that hungers for a proof
Here, upon the planets roof

I WANNA DREAM THIS DREAM
Louis Brown Jan 2011
I've prayed high to the heavens
For you to come along
Now I've awakened in this dream
Where nothing's feeling wrong
So let your loving lips
Keep doing what they do
And we're gonna be so high
Stars surround me and you

It's warmer then the sunshine
Inside your close embrace
As I close your eyes with kisses
I see all the worlds in space
If Jupiter moons have oceans
We'll warm some chilly beach
Then take a spin by Venus
As the need between us meets

I WANNA DREAM THIS DREAM WITH YOU
WHERE I'LL HOLD YOU ALL NIGHT THROUGH
FIND ALL THE  LOVE IN STORE
WHERE NONE HAVE GONE BEFORE
A PERFECT FANTASY FOR TWO
I WANNA DREAM THIS DREAM WITH YOU

We'll have to visit Mars'
Two yellow satellites
'Make romance in that moonglow
Where two moons shine so bright
We'll dance on Saturn rings
Let our slow dance melt the cold
I'll hold your celestial body
Let our chimera unfold.....

Our Prospects With Paul Ryan
Louis Brown Aug 2012
There once was a candidate Ryan
The right wing see in him their lion
This nemesis to our healthcare
Paul only fights for good wealthcare

He voted with Bush to disaster
The economy never fell faster
Wee is his knowledge of foreign affairs
If he gets the job we'll need daily prayers

A bad Catholic some blogs call him
Some hope pestilences befall him
Many think he's no wiser than Palin
That could cause Mitt Romney's failing

He'll hurt poor folks; he'll hurt the middle
We'll starve as old Mitt plays the fiddle
So it would be better to vote not at all
Than choose young Attila, this candidate Paul

I Believe in Tomorrow
Louis Brown Dec 2010
They’re foreclosing on our homes left and right
Violent gangs roam the streets to find a fight
On the corner scumbags sell the young *******
That’s the bitter news the tabloids will proclaim

But some people volunteer at nursing homes
Some give to charity their whole life long
Some others give asylum for the homeless in the rain
But that’s not headline news as the media plays the game

I believe in tomorrow thru it all
God makes a lot more sunbeams
Than he makes raindrops fall
At Golgatha Hill He showed a love
No darkness can undo
He's always justified my faith
And believing like I do

So don’t give up when tabloids show the worst
Or when cable likes to find some hell on earth
For God’s a God of endless love; His rainbows stop the rain
And He would never make a world in vain

CHORUS

Bridge:
The tide comes in, the tide goes out
But goodness will prevail
Just follow in His footsteps
And you'll be right on the trail

A Loyal Man Indeed
Louis Brown Aug 2010
I’ve always looked at dancing girls.
I think that all men do.
I drool at scenes
Like tight blue jeans–
Until they fade from view.

Where pretty girls are showcased
I’m sure to raise a toast
Cause a derriere
Might make me stare
Till I become a ghost.

And, yes, it’s like a candy store
When beauties crowd the beach
Because a teeny
And snug bikini
Make my right and left eyes meet.

For I lo-o-o-o-o-ve to goggle long long legs
Whereever I may roam
And if they're cute
I will weigh the fruit
But I always boogie home

I Found My Better Half
Louis Brown Mar 2014
The daily human race is a hill to climb
And doing it alone is no peace of mind
When the sunset slowly ends
You're bound to need a friend
To help you reach tomorrow one more time

So you watch the faces coming down the street
Or find a bar where lonely people meet
I had so much doubt
About who I lived without
Until you made my happiness so sweet

CAUSE IN YOUR ARMS I FIND MY BETTER HALF
YOU BROUGHT ME NEW SERENITY AT LAST
A PASSION FILLED MY SOUL
THE BELLS OF HEAVEN TOLL
CAUSE IN YOUR ARMS I FIND MY BETTER HALF

I've been around the block a time or two
I knew you were the answer wrapped in you
I destroyed my old addresses...
Even thoughts of old caresses
Cause we were making love not making do

Neighborhood’s not changed too much
The house still looks the same
But there stands my old mailbox
With someone else’s name

By that window there she'd hold me tight
We'd listen to the rain
The years roll by before my eyes
The pleasure and the pain

They say that people change with time
I thought we never would
But now I’m just a stranger here
In my old neighborhood

If I don't leave they'll wonder why
I'm out here in the rain
Just talking to a mailbox

I’ve read that UFO’s ride the skyways
Looking for a friendly atmosphere
But the way we treat our neighbors
The way we rattle sabres
It’s hard to find intelligent life down here

The space explorers see the humans racing
To see whose bomb can make who disappear
And the visitors must say
War seems to be their way
It’s hard to find intelligent life down here

COMPASSION’S NOT THE VALUE THEY REVERE
THE SMOKE OF WAR'S TOO COMMON ON THIS SPHERE
THE GOLDEN RULE'S OMITTED
IT’S SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
IT’S HARD TO FIND INTELLIGENT LIFE DOWN HERE

They seldom reach a plane for compromising
They don’t trust each other much I fear
And when strangers pass this way
They see morals in decay
It’s hard to find intelligent life down here..

I hope they'll love there brother
Before bombs blow up each other

Whistling By The Tombstones
Louis Brown Sep 2011
As a boy I whistled in the dark
Walking by those tall tombstones
When I'd glance at that old graveyard
Frigid air would freeze my bones
As a man I've never been that scared
Till I saw your closet bare
I felt like that boy at midnight
Seeking courage with a prayer

I'm whistling by the tombstones again
Since I hurt you and you left me
I can feel that icy wind
I'll never make it through
Tomorrows without you
I'm whistling by the tombstones again

In my mind I miss your pretty face
And my backbone feels a chill
I tremble like that lonesome boy
Passing cemetery hill
If you don't come back it's darker
Than those graveyard fantasies
Cause it's just a grim tomorrow
Unless your dreams including me

So please don't say that little fuss
Could end our fairytale
All my life I'd be whistling down
Life's long long lonesome trail

I'm whistling by the tombstones again
Since I hurt you and you left me
I can feel that icy wind
I'll never make it through
Tomorrows without you
I'm whistling by the tombstones again

My Favorite People Are Women

My favorite people are women
Right from the very beginning
Let the boss kick your tail
Let the stockmarket fail
In her arms you will know you are winning

Some come with the loveliest chassis
They like to put fog on your glasses
Pursue till you catch one
Persistance will fetch one
Who'll love to receive your cool passes

MY FAVORITE PEOPLE ARE WOMEN
THEY LOVE COWBOYS AND LAWYERS AND ******
THEY GIVE THEIR LAST CRUMB
MY MOTHER WAS ONE
MY FAVORITE PEOPLE ARE WOMEN

She has the same notion as you son
She's not a big teaser to out run
Commit a wee bit of chasing
Then it's time for embracing
Your libido is due for some fun

As you've kept your nose to the grindstone
Receiving great love from a fine one
If you're worn to deep slumber
You can take down her number
There's always another night, Son

Give your neighbor all you can
Give sweat unto your boss
Give your troubles to the wind
With just one mighty toss
Give your kidneys to caffeine
A hundred years they'll go
Give Gene Simmons your big ****
And let your skinny show

Give your payments to the bank
To send your kids to college
Send 'em to a better school
To give their noodles knowledge
Give charity to old goodwill
To prove your heart is pure
Like Robin Hood take from the rich
And give it to the poor

Give tithes unto your preacher man
He'll get you through the Gate
Throw in a golden nugget
You may not have to wait
One last thing Mr. Houseman adds
Give carefully your hearts
Give crowns and pounds and guineas
But don't include your ****

I'm going AWOL at first light
Sherman threatens my hometown
I hate to leave Robert E. Lee
But my heart's not backing down
There's a railroad to Atlanta
I'll fight side by side with Paw
General Johnson's too outnumbered
But we'll stand at Kennesaw

I don't like to leave Virginia
But Atlanta needs me there
With my family in danger
It's a duty I must bear
I'll meet Mayde at Big Shanty
We can have some time at last
I'll get up at the crack of dawn
And kick old Sherman's ***

Now I know we're way outnumbered
They have more than two to one
And Sherman hates all rebels
He's Abe Lincoln's favorite skunk
If we could get old Stonewall
To come down for just a spell
We could kick old Abe's invaders
From Kennessaw to hell

Mayde, I'm real scared of dying
If our rebel line should fall
But I'll stand to fight **** yankees
Make 'em think they hit a wall
We own no slaves but Sherman thinks
It's rebel killin' time
So I'll shoot holes in Yankee coats
Before there's one in mine

Down Home Boy

I was checking out the girls
Looking for a dance
When I got close enough
I saw her come on glance
I asked, "Do you two step"
She looked into my eyes
She said,  "Honey, do you know
You're a mindreader in disguise"

JUST A DOWN HOME BOY
UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT
I WAS COUNTRY BACKWOODS
SHE'S BIG CITY LIGHTS
I WAS LOOKING FOR A CHEVY
WHEN A JAG ROLLED IN SIGHT
JUST A DOWN HOME COUNTRY BOY
UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT

Her perfume was awesome
It hit me like a truck
When it comes to being lucky
I never had so much
My first trip in the fast lane
i could feel the fun begin
While we talked about the weather
I felt a warm front moving in

REPEAT

With my long legged, two legged dear
Already zeroed in
It was hard to keep my fever
Under a hundred and ten

REPEAT
Louis Brown Feb 2011
I looked around me

For a noble man

Someone who could lead

A man a child could trust

Some man who never cheated

A man not owned by money

Some man who wouldn't lie

A man a child would trust

Some man that loves his God

Well he was hard to find

I looked at all the presidents

In the past United States

I evaluated judges and lawyers

I checked out sailors, doctors and  farmers

Just for one honest man

But none of them met the criteria

Until I remembered

Perhaps there is one

Just maybe…just maybe…

I'm Out of Love Again2
Louis Brown Jan 2014
Louis Brown · 21 hours ago

Copyright Louis Brown and Warner Baxter

I only like the young ones
The beautiful and tall
If they've got it all together
It's for sure I'm gonna fall
Every spring and summer
I go through that same phase
But winter chills this heart of mine
And we go our different ways

I get bored way too easily
No woman likes me long
We're incompatible in love
But it's sad to be alone
It's just the natural way of things
As love goes against the grain
I can't change my ways for her
As the pleasure turns to pain

AND TONIGHT ONCE MORE I'M OUT OF LOVE AGAIN
BACK OUT IN THE COLD COLD NIGHT WITH THAT OH SO ICY WIND
SUMMER DAYS ARE MEMORIES AND WINTER JUST STORMED IN
AND TONIGHT ONCE MORE I'M OUT OF LOVE AGAIN

I only like the young ones
The beautiful and tall
The brunette or the redhead
Or the bleach blond Barbie doll
Where there's smoke there's fire
It burns up in a blaze
But love can't last forever
'Cause we have such different ways

I get bored way too easy
no woman loves me long
It's my incompatibility
Though it's sad to be alone
so as I travel down this road
And I sing my sad love song
I'll keep rollin' town to town
Till this highway leads me home

An Old Temptation
Louis Brown Sep 2013
Temptation's bridge
Still stretches through the darkness
Tonight I'm sure
To cross it one more time
I long to feel
Those pretty lips slip open
A warm sweet push
Inside the curves I wind

I can't resist
The touching tenderness
The longing aches
That multiply desire
Where shadows arch
To peaks of rising pleasure
In sweet sensations
And waves of endless fire

That's why I go
Back to the nights that were
Always predictable
With feelings that were real
And you are there
To reward me one more time
To relive golden moments
Incredible to feel

Or I could go
Into the empty future
Where passion never goes
Not much there to gain
It can't compare
To that old bridge to darkness
That prism in my memory
Where pleasure knows no pain

Hilltops
Louis Brown Oct 2010
When hills are on my mind
I think Mt. Everest
Where snow caps brush the sky
Up past the eagles nest

Some feel desire to go
To climb the Matterhorn
Some love the history
Of the seven hills of Rome

But there's a hill much better known
It's not beautiful or high
Not famous for its ruins..
But one condemned to die

They say God's Son was there
And that lonesome road was hard
But He gave His all for man
And He made us sons of God

Love Lessons In Your Arms
Louis Brown Aug 2013
From the time I saw your face, I wanted to learn from you
So Baby teach the course  I can really get into...
I wanna  earn all the answers, every credit in chemistry
'Wanna be an over achiever, have you believing in me

I wanna have love lessons in your arms
I want my lips to learn from lips so warm
I want those learning curves to lead the way
To a Magna *** Laude someday
I wanna have love lessons in your arms

I like to analyze your smile down to the finest meaning
The homework is such fun it's almost like I'm dreaming
With you I'm in the fast lane and I pass the courses faster
Thanks for teaching me the ropes to help me get  my Masters

CHORUS

Bridge:
'Wanna get my education while learning from the best
I wanna earn a PH D being the teacher's pet

Lyrics for Bianca
Louis Brown Oct 2011
There's a woman in my arms
As close as skin can get
I want to fall in love again
I'm still not ready yet
Your  shadow slips between us
Like every other time
And as cold chills cool the passion
Her love can't cross the line

My arms are full of memories of you
I pull the shades and lock the doors
But yesterday comes through
As I hold her in the dark
I still hold you in my heart
My arms are full of memories of you

I found her at an upscale dance
She's all woman to the bone
But I slipped and cried your name again
And I knew the night was gone
She slipped right through my fingers
Cause her pride can't play that role
She wants all of me or nothing
But it's not in her control

Louis Brown Sep 2011
I like a bowl of collards
You like brussel sprouts
You have a taste for cognac
Jim Beam just knocks me out
You went to that big college
I flunked the seventh grade
We ain't got much in common
Till we pull down the shades

CHORUS:
THE ATTRACTION OVERCOMES THE WALLS BETWEEN US
TO UNDERSTAND OUR BOND WON'T TAKE A GENIUS
OUR LIVES ARE CONTRADICTIONS
BUT THE FUN OUTWEIGHS THE FRICTION
THE ATTRACTION OVERCOMES THE WALLS BETWEEN US

In our healthy love-hate thang
Sometimes hell breaks loose
But when the big moon rises
We wave a flag of truce
Our fussing's just a pastime
Between the mountain peaks
But by evening time we  tangle
And the making up is sweet

CHORUS

BRIDGE:  It's natural to differ
But the difference ain't too big
We meet right in the middle
When it's time to build a bridge

CHORUS
Louis Brown Aug 2010
They're warm

In the winter

**** good

With a splinter

And far better chefs

Than the men

They're sweet

And sincere

They look great

From the rear

I'd like

A nice harem

Of ten

She put too much sugar in my coffee

She knows **** well I do not care for cream

On our Anniversary she went out with the girls

She didn't even wear her wedding ring

She gave me a luggage set for Christmas

And a brochure of some towns in Mexico

She bought me a ticket on a bus to Tijuana

Just her way of saying Adios

She found another way to say goodbye

She's wearing sweet perfume I didn't buy

She wrecked my little red pick up truck

So she could watch this grown man cry

She found another way to say goodbye

She took the bed and sent me to the sofa

Said, "You sound like a saw mill when you snore"

She put my sports page on the bottom of the bird's cage

Before I got to read the latest score.....

Some days my heart feels better
Than it did the day before
But some days I still want you
And it's yesterday once more
I go out to join the laughter
But it's still a lonesome sound
When the smile's almost beginning
That old tear comes rolling down

I'M SOMEWHERE BETWEEN A TEARDROP AND A SMILE
GETTING OVER YOU WILL TAKE A WHILE
SEEMS MY HEART IS SLOWLY HEALING
BUT THEN I GET THAT OLD TIME FEELING
I'M SOMEWHERE BETWEEN A TEARDROP AND A SMILE

Tomorrow's overdue for me
But my yesterday dies slow
It wasn't easy finding you
It's harder letting go
Someday I hope I make it
But you're hard to leave behind
Just when a pretty girl comes by
You walk across my mind

CHORUS

BRIDGE:  At a party I'll feel good times on the way
Then my heart is touched by some old song they play...

Honest Suitor
Louis Brown Oct 2012
I said I do not have a lot

Invested at the bank

And my old car's a clunker

That sometimes will not crank

My job...It just ain't paying much

But love is more than money

She said your tale's a touching one

But who're you calling honey

IN LOVER'S AFTERGLOW
Louis Brown Aug 2010
I remember the beginning
And how you took my heart
The way your arms would hold me
Your lips so warm and soft
The way you bit my neck
To grab my full attention
And off to wilder tempos
Till love relieved our tension
We’d relax a moment
In lovers' afterglow
And soon you’d be right back
And off again we’d go
You woke my sleeping senses
And warmed me to the bone
Our loving was fantastic
With thunder in our *****
Just like two thoroughbreds
We pushed our outer limits
Holding back just barely
To delay the final finish
Milking all the sweetness
As hungry lovers might
To reach another pinnacle
Before the morning light

Pina Coladaville
Louis Brown Nov 2010
The monkeys chatter in the trees
And peel their big bananas
The Caribbean evening brings
Delightful panoramas
The jungle birds all sing their songs
As sunlight heads due west
The girls in string bikinis
Make all the men feel blessed
I love the plump and ripened fruits
Where conchitas drive me nuts
It’s fun to kiss the maidens
So friendly with their b..er..hugs
I do thank these island people
For the *** that they distill
I was meant to flip the bottoms up

Some love to see bare knuckle fights
Pro football has its fans
Lifting weights is fun for those
Who’d be a muscle man
Racing’s good for Earnheart
Who likes to come in first
Some men like to push a pen
And go from bed to verse

I’LL HAVE TO SAY THAT LOVE’S MY PICK
A GENTLE ONE; NO BROKEN BONES
WHEN NIGHT UNFURLS IT’S PLAYED WITH GIRLS
RED LIPSTICK AND COLOGNE
LIGHT A CANDLE; YOU’LL FIND THE HANDLE
AND GET THE HANG OF IT
I ADORE YOUNG MISSES, HUGS AND KISSES
THAT’S WHY LOVE’S MY PICK

You may have little fusses
Cause girls are complicated
But that’s part of the charm...
The making ups the greatest
There needs to be some peace on earth
So try this game for lovers
It’s a sport as old as time
Designed to  beat all others

Bridge:
It'll aways be top seed for winter games
n' summer beaches bare some pretty frames
You can fill your address book with pretty names....

Don't Lead Me to Temptation
Louis Brown Aug 2010
That pretty neckline in your dress
Sure gives my blood a rush
My eyes are going cross-eyed
For what I long to touch
That fragrance smells so sweet on you
My discipline could give in
So please don't lure me closer
Where the troubles could begin

Don't lead me temptation
I can find it on my own
You give me palpitations
No heart could take it long
I've loved you in my fantasies
And, Babe, you know it's hard
Temptation 's gonna break my will
If I don't leave old Dodge

There's a line that I can't cross
There's some scruples I can't bend
I've been lucky not to stumble
Though I know how close it's been
While I love you in a special way
Trying to love two loves is cold
And I can't hold up the middle long
I just can't play that role.....

So don't lead me to temptation
I can find it on my own
You give me palpitations
No heart could take it long
I've loved you in my fantasies
And, Babe, you know it's hard
Temptation's gonna break my will
If I don't leave old Dodge

Which Party Is Nobler
Louis Brown Oct 2010
One party cares about the sick
Conservatives don’t give a lick
They think the folks should heal themselves
Or call upon some magic elves
Right wing people are  so blind
Their icon is the money sign
Which party shows a caring soul…
Conservatives don't have that goal

Noble solons help the poor;
The rich have guilt they cannot cure
What they need are warmer souls
Or a night in hell on hotter coals
The message might get thru to them;
Selfishness should be condemned
But right wing minds are seldom kind
They hardly understand God’s mind

One party helps the meek and small
Stands up for handicapped and all
They take the time to help us out
When tough economies come about
Conservatives should know the truth;
Their interests show the awful proof
So they’ll just have to swallow that...
Their God ignores the cruel facts

A Lost Poet Again
Louis Brown Jan 2011
The poet in me
Can disappear
I’m a combo short
Without his ear
A pretender’s left
And here comes panic
Without my Muse
I get quite frantic
And chaos crowds
The remaining source
Where I’m a knight
Without a horse
A wordsmith here
Unqualified
To pick my brain
Just pushed aside
Robotic words
Will cross my page
The day grows dark
On life’s old stage
Longfellow looks down
Laughter booming
At the tripe I write
So non consuming
My ego falls
My pride goes limp
And one hung low
Is no Chinese ****
So I send prayers
From my antenna
To reach my Muse
My lost breadwinner
How could one think
Him but a myth
I lost my flow
I lost my pith
Oh here he comes
With lines exact
I'm me again
My Muse is back

In the Market for Love
Louis Brown May 2012
She pushed her groceries
Past the beans and black eyed peas
She picked a few cucombers up to weigh
I looked close at her hand
There was not a wedding band
When she winked I nearly fainted dead away

She walked toward the health food section
And I followed her perfection
She was one fine specimen of womanhood
We checked our lists together
As we talked about the weather
I had the feeling things were going good

We were in the market for love
       Sometimes groceries just aint enough
She's what I waited for so long
Man can't live by bread alone
We were in the market for love

Her levis had me cross-eyed
She almost had me tongue-tied
I tried to be as cool as I could be
I said, "Could we share some wine
At your place or mine"?
She said, "Honey, it's on aisle number three"

We were in the market for love
       Sometimes groceries just ain't enough
She's what I waited for so long
A man can't live by bread alone
We were in the market for love

Bridge
And now we shop together at the store
'Won't be long till we're shopping for one more...

We were in the market for love
       Sometimes groceries jus ain't enough
She's what I waited for so long
A man can't live by bread alone
We were in the market for love
