The stranger is no longer there
but now familiar brown eyes and soul to bare
He came back home a new man for me
So glad the stranger I no longer see

Now he doesn't want to take me down
but let's me be the queen I am and wear my crown

Now he brings light love and hope
and no longer uses alcohol to cope

No longer the liar I use to know
No longer the stranger with fear and woe

So glad the stranger is gone
now my husband is back with me at home
No longer is he a stranger to me
So glad the stranger I no longer see
This poem will make more sense if you read my other poem from 2020

alcohol is a disease that makes the person do things they would not normally do and become a stranger to their loved ones. My hope is that everyone who is suffering from this can get some help.

Out of nowhere
a thought of you
will hit my mind,
like a poison dart.
I don't know what
triggers it.
Tonight, I think it's
the cold wind blowing
outside my window.
Or, it could be the
tangerine I just ate.
That sweet juice.
It doesn't last
though.
Gone in a flash.
Too small for a
lifetime together.
And I'm alone with
this bright orange pain,
vowing never to write
about you again.

~
Dweller on the threshold
It's now coming back
Earth moon transit
Losing contact

Heading for the door
Fuzz and timbre
Surrender in my hand
A final act of war

My last words travel far
Closer to the speed of sound
No time to bury
Mixed flags in the ground

The phantom facing me
Is no recovery
There are a thousand of me
And each one is disappointed

A mystical lake
deep in a hidden forest
simmering sunsets
ferns swaying softly in the shallows
there lived a bevy of Swans
content in their surrounding of tranquility
both graceful and majestic, except for one
the ugliest swan, draped in muddy black
tolerated, he would swim amongst the others
quietly, he lived in his tears
for the one he admired the most
stayed far away
on the other side of the lake

They were always there
but no one ever cares
They are not even aware

But you made me aware
you were willing to share

It was your favorite flower
and it turned into ours to empower
our favorite flower

But then you left me
stopped once to see
to remember when we were free

and when spring comes and the tulips bloom
it reminds me of you

and I'll be there for you
if you want to come back home too

A mirror cracks loud.
Spiderweb veins split the face,
someone looks away.

Glass falls, catching light.
Tiny suns blink on the floor,
feet step through the stars.

A star drowns in dark.
A shard twitches without wind,
breath locks in the throat.

Teeth bare in the glass.
A crimson smile grins too wide,
the floor drinks its spill.

The spill turns to ink.
Letters bloom where none were writ,
shadows lean closer.

Ink drips from the walls.
Words slither where mouths should be,
a mirror cracks loud.

Emotion Shifts, Then Shifts Again...

P.S. Rest assured, reading this near a mirror is entirely safe..hehe
