I burned the letter you wrote me,
I thought it would help,
But now,
Whenever i smell smoke,
I think of you,
And i am that much further from forgetting.

I wrote this about eight months ago and it still continues to be relevant.

You always sounded so different when we talked on the phone.I noticed your slight accent and how your voice seemed to rise at the end of every sentence. Perhaps you always sounded like that, and i was just to mesmerized by the way you rolled you ocean blue eyes to notice.

2. You never wear your layered orange hair up, I only got to see it in a ponytail once. You once told me, that you think it looks weird when you put it up. I never got the chance to tell you how it shows off your neck and collar bones, pulling away from your face, making your eyes even more gripping. You look dangerous with your hair up..i hope he tells you so.

3. Every time you would walk by me, i would get a hint of your smell. You smell like an old book store on a soggy day, weathered but still full of life, like earl grey tea.. spicy yet sweet, like how you feel in my heart. You smell like coming home.

4. One day, when you walked across the parking lot in your flare jeans and shades, old eighties rock and roll started playing in my head. It hasn't left since.

5. When we would talk on the phone, i would leave long pauses in the conversation. You would always ask me if i was okay, and the truth is..i was. I was enjoying the silence. You quieted every prodding, screaming thought inside my head. You don’t know how amazing quiet is until you loose it...and think that people are the same.

-Five things i never told you (K.O)
Just some late night ramblings~
