I found my mom’s wedding dress
in the attic the other day.
It was carelessly sprawled across dusty boxes of junk,
hiding in the corner of the room
as if it didn’t want to be noticed.

I remember it used to be beautiful.
It was once dove white
with intricate beading lavishly sewn into the bodice.
It had a full, glossy train that flowed behind her with each step she took.
It was glamorous
and expensive.
I remember she looked like an angel that day.

But it is no longer beautiful.
It lies unprotected in my attic,
vulnerable to the dust and rodents
that keep it company.
It’s color has faded to a **** yellow.
The beading is mostly scattered on the floor.
The train is frayed and torn
and I counted a few holes where the moths must
have gotten to it.
The dress is no longer glamorous.
My mom is no angel.

I found my mom’s wedding dress
in the attic the other day.
It was abandoned.
Like the rest of us.

Ezra Pound
I had over prepared the event,
that much was ominous.
With middle-ageing care
I had laid out just the right books.
I had almost turned down the pages.

Beauty is so rare a thing.
So few drink of my fountain.

So much barren regret,
So many hours wasted!
And now I watch, from the window,
the rain, the wandering busses.

“Their little cosmos is shaken”—
the air is alive with that fact.
In their parts of the city
they are played on by diverse forces.
How do I know?
Oh, I know well enough.
For them there is something afoot.
As for me;
I had over-prepared the event—

Beauty is so rare a thing.
So few drink of my fountain.

Two friends: a breath of the forest…
Friends? Are people less friends
because one has just, at last, found them?
Twice they promised to come.

“Between the night and the morning?”
Beauty would drink of my mind.
Youth would awhile forget
my youth is gone from me.

(Speak up! You have danced so stiffly?
Someone admired your works,
And said so frankly.

“Did you talk like a fool,
The first night?
The second evening?”

“But they promised again:
‘To-morrow at tea-time’.”)

Now the third day is here—
no word from either;
No word from her nor him,
Only another man’s note:
“Dear Pound, I am leaving England.”
I'll pave my roads
with the tar
I keep in my lungs,
and I'll burn
my bridges
with the lighter
that got the tar there
in the first place.
(deleting cuz ew)
A set of queens pierce
The eyes that gaze upon it,
Caught in a daze while
Dull heat rises from the toes
To the black hair that
Covers his pale scalp.
The ending to a game
Of thrones,
Kings.
Irresistible jealousy.

Sheets draped, uncovered,
Lying, twisted in a pool
Of sweat and blood.
Drooping eyes catching
His.
He is lost, cold, broken,
Comfortable now.
They are comfortable,
Now.
I'll be an ***** doner
If thats the only way
You'll ever take my heart.

Lucy is so electric
Her skin is paper perforated dripping with her liquid blood
Her love is like the world hard and true
Deep black eyes and lips are plumes of color that bleed through themselves and back again
She is restless in my skin and pulses through my flushing face
Smiling and connecting all things
When I kiss her
It all melts
I can't see and can't spell
I can't tell time
And I'm okay with dying
The eye at the bottom of the glass
why don't you ******* blink
you stare at me like you've been there the whole time
but I know you haven't
good for nothing
Nothing for good
Beer wish you were here
You ******* *******
I taste the tongue
Wasted young
Dumb
As ****
Stay where you are.
I think I see you,
Or, maybe, that isn't you.
I don't think its you.

Okay, keep on walking,
Come to me,
I'll stay where I am.
I'm next to the watch kiosk.

Are you on your way?
Okay, I'll stay here,
Come to me.

Okay, Its been about an hour.
Did you leave me?
It's okay if you did,
I'll just drive to your place.

I'm in my car now.
My phones almost dead
And my GPS is a *******
It doesn't work.
Whats your adress?
I'll try and get to your place.

I've been driving around
For too long.
I think I might just go home.
I'll see you tomorrow.
If You're not doing anything.
Oh, you're busy?
Thats okay, I am too actually.

Maybe next week then?
Okay.

I'll see you when I see you.
