Today was nothing
like yesterday.
How can it go from
being so great,
to feeling like it's
over in 24 hours?
I don't know what
to do.
What to say,
what to think.
It felt like we were
strangers tonight.
I only need some one to
be nice to me.
To care, and be on
my team for once.
I don't think that's
asking for too much.
But maybe it is.
I don't think I
will ever have a successful
relationship.

Marriage

You like to drink,
I like to smoke,
you'd like to think,
that I am big joke.
You like to rock,
I like to roll,
we go for a walk,
but it ends up a stroll.
You like to read,
I like to write,
whenever we talk,
it ends up being a fight.
You like honesty,
I like to lie,
I find it funny,
when you start to cry.
You like to spend,
I like to save,
you love to cut,
when I have to shave.
You like romance,
I like horror,
You're name is Dora,
and I'd like to explore ya.
You like to eat,
I like to munch,
we love each other,
so **** much.
Twenty years and going strong,
I'm always right,
you're always wrong.
The *** is great,
and we love to cuddle,
in the bed,
there is always a puddle.
You like me,
I like you,
another woman,
always makes two.
Sometimes I watch,
sometimes I join,
either way,
I have a happy groin.

I want to **** myself

and end all this pain

but I’m scared of what happens after

We don’t know if there’s an afterlife

or if reincarnation exists

or if the multiple universe theory is true

But if they are

there’s a world where you don’t exist

and I’d rather be alive in this hell

than risk going there

I.
In my hand, a
boreal owl has died -
Waiting for the spirit to
pass.

The softness of her feathers,
the beauty of this other form
of life. I look
closely.

White and perfect.

II.
Shelter. It sounds so handsome.
Comforting, (real), true -
and yet it is a little wall between a
person and all the rest.
So little there.

The fragility of crystal after crystal can
be my killer.

One small thing plus another equals
a power greater than any shelter humans can
build.

III.
Without electricity.
I am surrounded

by comfort. All of a piece -
myself and the world. Close to
one another.

Boundaries are gone.
Distance has changed.
The rock above are closer

than before. The trees in the
moonlight, the horses so close
I can see the ghost of

their breath.
A scatterin' poem from "Snow" by Linda Hogan, published by "Orion" - Spring 2011.
If it wasn't for hope, where would we be?  Maybe, somewhere all alone, bound up, not able to be free.
If it wasn't for hope, would we be around?  Or, would we be somewhere depressed, feeling constantly down.
If it wasn't for hope, there would be no need to go on.  Somehow, you have been given strength, so all fears are gone.
If it wasn't for hope, the light would be dim.  Thank God He is around, so we can depend on Him.
If it wasn't for hope, there would be no need to move ahead.  You may have ended up, constantly climbing into your bed.
Now that you have hope, you can live a beautiful life..  You no longer have to hide, trying to keep out of sight.
Now that you have hope, you can allow joy to enter in.  You are no longer in *******, because you have peace within.
Now that you have hope, you can show your smile.  You can encourage others, to go the extra mile.
Now that you have hope, you can move ahead.  Now, you can follow good examples, as you are safely lead.

I realized one day
That my eyes had become hard
My gaze, frosted granite
Hard, like the look of men
Who have seen too much
Killed too much
Been through too much
Just a stare
That says it all
Ice behind the eyes
Purposeful and intent
I see the surprise in peoples eyes
When they meet mine
And look hurriedly away
Or ask if everything is alright
They know the look
And now it even shows in the mirror
And my war
Hasn't even started yet
