His Birthday
 Dec 2021 Kenya83
Trish
The 9th of December, it is that time of the year
Woke up from sleep and whispered "Happy birthday!"
Allowing universe to do the job to inform you subconsciously
Everything that surrounds me moves so slow till it stops
Wondering and thinking about you unconditionally

A day my mind unconsciously remember
You exist along with all of our good memories
My greatest love and heartbreak of a lifetime
May our string be one highlight of my favorite history in this life
Hoping to see you again in our next life

Next time you greet me must be in pilot uniform
Saying "This is your Captain Pilot speaking for this flight.."
In an airplane that I will ride to the destination
A destination that I hoped to be with you

Till we meet again, my twinflame and everything
I am still waiting here like what I have promised
Loving you and will always be even without a happy ending
Goodbye for now and see you again, my future captain!
Ever since 2019, December 9 never felt like an ordinary day because of the guy I fell in love with. We may no longer in contact nor in good terms but I always wish him a happy birthday and hope he is doing well in his life.

caroline
pony-tailed playmate
head tucked in her shirt
gazing steadily down
at her toes in the dirt

chaos tiptoes around her
naive oblivion
journeys in far away lands
just west of the meridian

watercolor fairy tales
bleeding outside the lines
unaware of the danger
unaware of the signs

let me sit with you, darling
in the dampened flower beds
and paint a new world
for us in our heads
A friend of mine told me
I write when I’m sad
She said it is as if I am in pain
And I said when I write it rains
When I put the pen on paper the clouds get dark
And when I stop
The birds of the sky sings
Coming out to play as the sun is out

You want to help,
Until you have to do something.
You understand,
Until I need your understanding.
You’ll listen,
Until you hear something you don’t like.
You have patience,
Until you lose your temper.
You care,
Until it becomes hard work.
You love me,
Until you don’t love me anymore.
You’re here form me,
Until you eventually leave.

The Old Coat

Sadness,
A gift somebody once gave me,
Like a heavy winter coat,
Far too big for a child,
But I grew into it.

It still hangs in my attic,
Sometimes I forget,
Sometimes I remember,
But whenever I try it on,
It still fits.

Northern lights
Scrape the edge
In planetary surrender
Hold on if you dare

It's a magnificent globe
It spins and dances
Streaked in glimpses
Of burning light

Atmosphere's emeralds
Bloom in radiance
It's a moving painting
Frozen images remain

Pure radiance can only
Be dreamt up
In day dreams
And warmth and
Colors that surround

Sprawling hills interspersed with trees
Ah it felt like home
Like driving down a barren road
Cities aren't for me
Don't get me wrong
I like the hustle and faces I see
But I'll take the quiet land
No matter the nation it is,
I call the country home
From the cliffs of Gibralter
To the ruins of Gobekli Tepe,
And back round to the massive Red Wood trees,
I'll roam
Down to the burning sands of Berber lands,
I'll stay in the country
Leave the cities to the people
And listen to the trees.
