You hate when they hear your laugh.
You always block out their fake praise.
After you sting them so it hurts,
you just walk the other way.

They only own broken things,
well isn’t that a shame.
They called it everyone’s burden,
making the air cold everyday.

So you stand tall when they’re around,
never showing them your smile
because they only deserve a frown.
It's too late to come in from the cold now.

nevaeh
sharper than steel
your words stab me
like a blade
slicing through the night
through my heart
carving out the deepest parts
driving them into the dirt
and every single word
every syllable
dries out my lungs
and leaves me on the ground
crumpled up
like the letters i wrote
and as you walk away
i feel the last whisper of hope
seep from the darkest parts of my soul
"sticks and stones may break your bones, but words can break your heart"

You show me your heart
you hold me close,
you tell me your secrets,
you say you
love me the most.
You push me away,
you take back your gifts;
you spit in my face,
You have another fit.
You’re up and down,
you’re day and night.
You give me a smile,
then pick a fight.
You make me laugh,
you make me cry.
You make me angry,
you make me sigh.
You fill me up,
then throw me away.
You want me to go,
you want me to stay.
Let’s makes things easy,
and just go separate ways.

The shouting
in my head
always comes when
I least expect it.
They question what I think,
they send my reason far away.
They warp my whole world
so my hard work goes to waste.
So many voices in my head
with their creepy tones:
   “they want to hurt you,
you need to leave them alone.”
Until I only feel empty.
So they hold on tighter
trying to infect my entire soul.
I can’t hear anything else,
but the eerie commands
being spit out.
So I listen
to the depraved voices,
they're the only sounds
that matter to me now.

Inner Devils

I’m always, on the outside,
But I’m looking in,
Your greatest faults, I’ll abide,
I support and embrace your sin,

I’ll swallow your pain,
I’ll digest what’s inside,
I will rust your chain,
In me you can confide,

I’ll help you shift the blame,
Run from angels who refuse to see,
At your lowest, you’ll be glad I came,
But you’ll never know the real me,

Friending those who only think of self,
Always talk in a riddle,
Waiting on your secret shelf,
Musing you, while your privates you ******,

I smile when you call,
Us, only talking when you fall,
Two in a dance like notes of a fiddle,
Still, at your loneliness I maul,

I’ll smile when I’m used,
My shoulder ******* your tears,
I know when you’re confused,
I know, because I’ve scribed your fears,

I am the one who leers,
Watching your many tragic fates,
Coming when you shun your peers,
Remembering all the dates,

Suffering in total silence,
Guarding your souls flimsy, gate,
Torches and mobs gather and I stand in defiance,
While you sit at home and *******,

Think you see me so crystal clear,
You always call me when it’s late,
I listen, and drown you in a beer,
Fore I’m never one to subjugate,

I taste every tear,
Make you cold to further your career,
Your emotions I stow,
Take every blow,
For,
I am,
The Devil you know...

Tess
how deep are the oceans
how vast is the sky
in these endless escapes
is there somewhere to hide

somewhere to go and never be found
somewhere to scream yet not make a sound...
