"Weak"; a word originating from the Proto-Germanic "waika" meaning yield, and the Old English "wāc" meaning "not-steadfast". The importance of improving upon one's weakness can be derived from the etymology of the word itself. Arguably one of the greatest qualities found within a human is steadfastness; that in life, one remains strong and perseveres through every trial, never yielding to the adversity that lies before them. Therefore, when the greatest adversity is found within, we are challenged to rise above our apparent weakness and remain victorious in our own right.

darling, you must desire discipline
for you cannot enjoy the juvenile privilege of fleeing your fears forever

i wish to be a writer
i truly do
but as money is the end to all means
and art is absent in the minds of men
i shall succumb to the streets of washington
a slave to the dutiful dreams of others
no longer embraced by the wonder of my own words

as i watched from wherever we were i knew only this: though the world mourned, we were happy, basking for eternity in eachother’s light. he turned to me and smiled. death had granted us no parting.

if you cannot hold me in your arms,
then hold my memory in high regard.
and if i cannot be in your life,
then at least let me live in your heart.

she’s chaotic i know
but somehow, by the grace of some god,
she is the calm in my chaos, the eye in my storm
when she looks at me, the winds stop
when she touches me, the sun shines through
and when she speaks, the rains dissipate, leaving no trace of my dark despair

i’ll see you where the mountains meet the moon
and if i don’t that’s on me
but for now... don’t leave
