One of those days I call life

One of those days not a thing goes right
You start your day with rain outside
One of those days no alarm went off
You must call your work and tell your boss

One of those days when there's no towel
The shower is cold and the furnace is out
One of those days when you burn the toast
The coffee is cold and you tear your hose

One of those days you're running late
You loose your keys have an empty tank
One of those days you cant find your coat
You turn the key and the car wont start

One of those days when you need a jump
Cables are locked in your husband's trunk
One of those days your kids school calls
It seems they skipped their study hall

One of those days you get home late
The dog is gone there's an open gate
One of those days not a thing goes right
Just one of those days that I call life

Written after I asked a lady how are you today. She went on to explain how bad a day she was having as I politely listened. All the while I was thinking , this sounds like life to me.

Let me tell you about the sun and the moon.
He falls everyday to see her rise,
And craves the sight of her sparkling eyes.
She prays for him to pass by soon
They share a love the stars despise.

Her shimmering glow,
And his glorious heat.
Never has been found a love as sweet.
With each gentle kiss their feelings will grow.
Within the darkness they arrange to meet.

He’ll see her face with each coming night.
Behind her smile is a glint of charm;
Under his protection she’ll endure no harm.
He is the source of her undying light.
Awaiting the day they’ll be arm in arm.

i think you,
when the world
(easy with roses)
speaks a hymn
like the mute
crushing of
parted night,
will rise beyond your body
to sing with fierce grace
your hands as lips to speak;
such love (even the roots
of flowers have never known)

there is something
grand that happens
when you read
poetry

when you read
someone's poetry,
you're taking
a look
inside their head,
and inside their heart

so know,
when you read
my poetry,
you are taking
a peek
inside my brain,
and inside my chest,
and inside my *soul

I am scared
of losing you

but I know
that even
if I do,

I will always
have parts
of you within
me

as you
will always
have parts
of me within
you

and I find
comfort
in that

I know
I will never
lose you,
as you
will never
lose me

as we count the new day away/
one, two, three
in the morning.

four, five, ***
seven days in a week.

playing on our words.
we're weak.
i'm weak.
so weak.

here we are again.
