We are like sun and moon, you and I
Hoping to be together, we try
But the universe declines
As we look for signs

Like fire and water, we're no match
But onto you, I'll still latch
Nature is keeping us apart
When love, we try to impart

We're like colors, black and white
As our worlds collide
Each other is a no invite
Cause we repel strongly in all might

Morals, like right or wrong, we are
Close yet so far
We are differentiated very much
And we can't get in touch

We may be worlds apart
But wish it may that we're in each other's hearts
And though we can't be on the same side
May in each other's arms can we abide
My childhood was full of happiness
I was a hero of my own world
There were no villains
Just friends and companions

I grew up well-defined
My world of fantasy started changing
Reality constantly hit me
And awoke me to the real world

Adolescence was not how I thought it would  be
It was an eye-opener, an enlightenment
If there is real, then there is fake
Be it with things or people

Trends, fashion, phones, whatsoever
My classmates had all these
But one thing caught me defenseless
A lady to share a man's time

So there it was, I saw a view
An attraction perhaps, towards someone
With ignorance in mind
So none to lose, falsely

A dream, a goal to reach
Someone for me, a God-given gift
Forever is our road, my love
You are my sincerest prayer
There in the void of nothingness
I found myself stuck
With nothing to confess

With a prayer on my lips
To never love again
Cause nothing is for keeps

No more hate
No more love
I'll just be on wait

The end, no one knows
And this I suppose
Hoping no one would oppose

Read between the lines
And understand it
Surely, there are signs

Be it destiny or fate
We are not led
By neither love nor hate
There were times
There were moments
When time was unattended

Good times gave us joy
Bad times gave us lessons
Yet we spent it well

Someday, in God's will
I know moments be given
Times to share, and times to spend

— The End —
