The painful tears
erases the lovely smile,
after all these years
my attempts proved futile.

some part of you
some act of yours
some madness of me
some scribbled lines for you

All these I fear
will engulf me one day.
I may disappear,
but the memories will stay.

how the rain poured over us
how the wind whispered through leaves
how in love our swing singed
with the bells going ding ding

The moon will shine clear
on the waves of the sea
like the froth on my beer
bringing out the sadness within me.

My mind is now fogged but light,
stopped searching for you in the village.
I now lie down at peace each night,
work on what is remaining in me with courage.
I wanted to write something like this since past few days, so this is my attempt.

From the stars in the sky
Through the atmosphere
To all the tall trees
That grasp the ground

The ground that holds our feet
And gently holds the sea
Down very far underneath
Layers of rock and molten lava streams

Down to the very core
That twists and turns
Its own heated center
The Earth is alive

I wasn't there with my body
when you were happy,
or walking in an evening rain,
I wasn't there with my eyes
to see the tears you shed
I wasn't there to feel your skin,
to see your eyes bloom at night.
I wasn't.

I wasn't there with the body
that would keep your feelings warm,
I wasn't with the arms
that would make your pain go.

I thought i was there in your soul,
a shade of sea,
a morning in the spring,
my words, I thought,
they'd make you feel
the same sunrise that's in my smile
whenever your voice speaks to me.

I hoped I was at least a dream,
a thought of yours at night,
a traveller in your mind,
a phrase,
a nonsense,
I hoped
I was one of your cigars,
your cup of tea,
your rest.

I thought
I hoped
In silence now I know
I wasn't with you
at all.

think of an utterance elicited somewhere far off
a language of lies
things announced, but never taken
by the senses of your peers

imagine the sound of a collapsing planet
fire and ice and crystal dust
core grinding,
ground scraping,
forms lost as it falls apart

the roar of a dying star
like an angry beast in the dark
its long reach takes with it its legacy
existences sustained

comets which streak by
frigid tails that catch the eye
an aurora in its blinding light
a show best visible at night

unseen collisions
yet always acknowledged
confirmed - for sure - by expensive machines
watching as they go
from our house and down the road

they pass an unseen boundary
crossing to the other side
their noises,
a symphony
the beginnings and ends of life
