You are the rain falling from the sky,
Serenading yourself off the shingled roof.
Though I have shelter, walls and a ceiling,
You trickle your way through the cracks.

An empty room gathers dust;
Snow collects in corners of windows;
And my resistance to you
Suffers from your irresistibility.

The waterlilies
Float above graceful Koi fish
White and cherry red
Amongst ripples cast through ponds
Of alternate dimensions

Whilst white sakura
Flow like the wind through long hair
Outside car windows
During the sunniest days
Of an endless rain season

Clouds glide across sky
Like those wet waterlilies
In search of lost time
Yearning for life in the warm
Recesses of all-being

The Man with the deformed hands
Happy as he could ever be
Everyone posing queries to him
How he could ever be so happy
They couldn't see he was happy to be
Unique and different to all others
A stamp of light everyday he lived
While loneliness carved his heart out
Pieces at a time
And nobody saw him losing his war
The Man with the deformed hands

Just feeling a bit empty,
Lacking,
Whatever you can call it.

Somber music echoes around me,
Caressing,
Scratches on the record album.

Dim fireplace reveals my misery,
Languish,
Tears pool at my feet.

Heart is turning to stone,
Such cold stone.
Could anyone possibly save me?

Just like the movies,
Everything went in a slow motion
Teary eyes and wet cheeks
Unexplained emotions

3 words
He’s about to spill
The air was cold
The room went still

“I love you”
He wishpered

It was the magic word
That changed her world

Never did she expect
To hear those words
For she always thought
That she was never enough

She felt loved
She felt wanted
Yet she was terrified
Yet she was overwhelmed

"I love you"
He repeated

It was the magic word
That changed her world

But the magic word,
didn't work
Silence was her answer
Questions were her answer

~
For I know nothing of love.
