6 word story

i think that i
will forever hate tuesdays

because that was when
i began to notice the change

not that you didnt love me
just that you didn't
couldnt
wouldnt
care anymore

like my love was something
shiny to pick up
when you wanted

and to throw
away when
it began to rust

so yes
i think i will
forever hate tuesdays

because now i know
that you will always be
more to me than i
was ever to you

and like the tide belongs
to the moon
you are mine
and so i'll follow you until we're nothing more than specks of stardust floating through broken dreams
olivia Jan 2021
I'll rehang the garlands of your broken promises
and sweep the ground of your lies

fix the hinges where you stormed out and
change the sheets of your hidden lovers

air out my mind of you
and unhook the locks around my heart

because while you were the one who left
i'll be the one moving on

Gaea has possessed my body
and claimed my heart

her flame flickers on my tongue
and winds howl through my soul

she sets storms through my mind and
tornadoes in my throat

i feel the rain in my hands
and her waves in my veins

but i do not ask her to leave
no
not when I've just begun to
feel
olivia Nov 2020
I'd be a thief for your love
if you'd let me

I'd steal the stars and drug the moon
just so you could live under the night sky

I'd **** Wendy and trap Peter
just so you could fly

I'd lure the Will 'o Wisps
just so you could hear their whispers

I'd cast out Poseidon
just so you could sleep to crashing waves

I'd travel through time
just so you could rebel with Frida and dine with Diana

I'd sell my soul with a grin to Satan himself
just so you could dance to the devils fiddle

If you'd just let me
be worthy of everything that is

you

it comes like the tide
in and out
back and forth

but unlike the tide
it likes to stay awhile
and soak all my thoughts

and like the tide
i know it'll be back
even stronger than before

but unlike the tide
there's no preparing
no digging your feet in the sand

you just have to hold on and hope the current doesn’t drag you under.
