You did float, in sweet slumber you rest,
I put your delicate Head upon a pillow
A cloud for your dreams to rest,
I tuck you in,
Kiss you gently upon your head,
You smile,
And snuggle up
Sweet dreams my child
Good dreams as you rest.
For my little ones sleep well my babies :)

A book,
just pages
on leaves, whitened-
river washed,
dried then wettened again;
tears of words
torn from a heart-
his then mine, and mine again.

A book
of poems, written verse,
la poema-
the saddest lines of all,
but not all, no,
not all; not always.

Pages of Odes;
oh, the odes
to fruit,
to wine
and song
of the sea and mermaids;
the pages sing his songs.

A book
of heights
and stone,
he took us there-
a shovel in the sand;
of monuments
and ships
of drunken men and love
once loved,
and loved again.

Words
on silken thighs,
*******
and a red dress-
on a dark night
the stars and moon did shine.

A garden-
he planted a *****
into our hearts;
his dog,
it died
simply
loved too much-
Ai.

A book,
just a book
of pages,
of poems
by my bed-
dog-eared,
much read and loved;
his words ending
the saddest lines of all.

Perhaps we could give each other insights,
Ideas, ways of thought,
Ourselves, the points of departure,
Ourselves, like complimentary colors,
The frequencies I lack, I might find,
And the frequencies you lack,
might, too, be filled.
Know what it means, this joy,
Know what it means, this sorrow,
Perhaps the darkness confused me too much,
Perhaps your joy confused you too much,
Do you shun your feelings
      because they make you weak?
I wallow in mine to make me strong,
Like each muscle fiber, torn in the making,
I trained , unwitting, but found,
The pain unavoidable to risk the pleasure,
Euphoria, plain joy, or humble contentment.
Pain or pleasure  this world is sometimes intolerable.
Also shoehorned in the concept from my 10w "all roads lead to strength".

What is this wall
That keeps us in
Over each other, we trip; we fall
We are like fish with no fins

Head on we crash
With fists we beat
We hack and we slash
Screaming, kicking with invisible feet

Blocked we remain
Let us flow
Us you can't contain
Let us go

Strengthened with aggregate
But held back by concrete
Cerebral wall with no gate
We're packed with angry grit

You know we're here
You feel us roiling
You hear us clear
Boiling and brewing

We understand the reason
You deem it necessary
Thinking it would lessen
Subdue the rage and fury

Your illusion of control
Of us, you'd pick the best
Surely you're taking the toll
Of being nothing but suppressed

All of us, we are you
We make you what you are
From the subtlest cue
To the high achieving star

We are many but we are one
Your thoughts and emotions
We are your loaded gun
We're the answer to false pretensions

You can't have us dammed
We've initiated a coup
No...we'll not be ******
Too late...we've broken through

I can't spend my whole life
writing my heart away.
I don't have
all the time in the world
to make you mine.
It would be unkind to think
what is written in the stars
is solely for us.

Don't tell me sweet things,
never tell me you want me,
I am only your fiery imagination
& you'll see
me writing forever
about you
& our desires,
this love
in my verse.

Now,
it's just
the moon & me
alone
& she's outside,
glowing down on me,
smiling the night away
without me.
