i smoked a bit of **** to see what it would do
something for a buzz something that was new
my mind began to wander i went into a haze
seeing different things i was in a daze.

saw a great big budgie green as green can be
he looked like the hulk stood in front of me
then i saw a lion his mouth was opened wide
my head was sticking out but i was still inside.

i saw lots of things that you shouldnt do
now about the **** i have a different view
i wont smoke again if this is what it does
ill go back to normal and do without the buzz

sometimes when I close my eyes,
and feel something deep inside,
hurts some much,
but I just swallow my pride.
and keep the real me trapped inside.
to the world I smile,
grin my teeth as I open wide.
paint a smile, a-mile-high, side to side.
meanwhile, these feelings, deep down inside.

i am African, Yes i am black, i live under the same sun as yours, yes we are one.   Why battle with one another, the xenophobia attacks in my country should end, shops are looted, houses burnt down, children fear going to school and hundreds are left homeless.     What happended to South Africa being known as a Rainbow Nation? After 22 years of democracy why do we still fight, defensless statues are destroyed, histroy is wiped away and all that is left is faces without races, let us put our weapons down and rather love than fight.

right now, there's nothing on it
it's as empty as can be
i looked inside my closet
and no paper did i see
i found one under a bonnet
but, it wasn't one for me
the missing poem might be a sonnet
can't you help me find it please

the words i have aren't in my head
it's the paper brings them out
until the pen hits paper
i don't know what it's about
once the poem is finished
i can then stand up and shout

when the devil wants your soul he will do his best
play around in side your mind put it to the test.

trying to deceive you with his devil game
try to steal your thoughts make you speak his name.

you must your will fight him face to face
chase him from your mind and keep your soul in place

dont take life for granted live it day by day
treat it with respect what ever comes your way
take it your stride in everthing you do
then things you want from life will be there for you

treat life with respect dont let it slip away
take life as it comes respect it everyday.
dont take life for granted handle it with care
then things you want from life will be waiting there
