I framed my soul in wire
Gnarled as I am
With sharpened points and
Barbs all around

So don't approach me
Or I'll love you
And you'll feel every needle
Puncture through you too

And I don't think it's worth it
Or maybe it is
Because I've felt that pain
So many times myself

So what's my purpose?
What's my journey here?
My soul is framed in wire
Am I'm punishing myself?

Will you tell me the truth?
What will I tell my soul?
For I know it's all wrong
And acceptance is valuable

he's trying to fix his guitar, all he has is a string
he's trying to fix his marriage, all he has is a ring
and she's hugging on the man infested with acid
trying to keep all his ducks in his basket
meanwhile the chief faces evil disguised as a faker
the truth is written on the man made from paper
edit: first line "shoes" to "guitar"

Bruised, bare
leave me with my blanket
while I build a tougher layer

The floor is still wet you see
and my ankles are just too weak
for the slippery mess out there

Give me some time
I'll try to decompress
though currently, Cynicism
has me tangled in her nest

I’m going to close the blinds now
to be at my own mercy
Don't be alarmed
if you don't hear from me

Other girls get
Fistfuls of tulip and
primrose,
But my love knows me
better.
Painted across skin are
All my favourite colours
Redorangeblueblackpurple-
I always get the
Prettiest blooms.
Thought of this in the bathroom brushing my teeth, thinking about the goodness in bad things.
We see and speak
And want everyone to understand
Things are thought-provoking
In this here land
Sometimes messages are cryptic
They are nothing but pieces of a puzzle
If we do not attach them accordingly
We may find ourselves lost in the shuffle

You promised you'd always be there
When the sun became too bright to see
That you would get me a blindfold, pull down the shades
Until senses came to be

You promised that you'd save me from harm
If problems ever arose
Wrap me in strong arms
Fight away frightening foes

You promised me a thrilling ride
Living life in the moment free
No cares left in our lovestruck brains
Only thought there: you and me

Now you've broken us with lies
Stomped emotions out into the ground
I am sadly watching beloved memories
Falling with empty promises down
This is an uber old one

rosé in their veins like blood,
with a polite devilish face,
and hearts of confetti gold.
