Stark white was the fir in its blanket of snow
worn down was the deer that hunger laid low
gone were the green things clover and all
buried by the dampness of frigid snow fall
harsh became the forest as vast as the sky
leaving whitetail for miles to do nothing but die
How?
How?
This is the question that I ask.
To live away from her is my task.
But this is an impossible feat,
for my life without her is incomplete.
The times with her I cherish the most.
So being apart is like being on an opposite coast.
When I hold her in my arms,
it is just her and I safe from harm.
When I comfort her when sad,
it's like I protect her from all that is bad.
When I see her dance,
I'm so awed that I am entranced
When I hear her sing,
I sit back, close my eyes, and listen to the music ring.
From these things I am powerless to resist.
So thus she is sorely missed.
How can I stay away,
away from where my heart lay?
How?
........How?
..............................
I can only think in
half formed metaphors,
and before I know it
they're
gone.
But,
I bet
if I wrote down every
eloquent phrase I thought up
and stitched them together,
they'd make a
romance novel.

I had to be there
For the time being

I had to say something
In lieu of waiting

I had to hold the hand
Which was longing

I had to love
And not let any breaking

I had to have him
So his heart could stop bleeding

I had to be gone
Before the next morning

I am just a girl
But I had to be healing

I lost a friend.
        They started it
                and I finished.

Saying goodbye to
        everything I loved
                about them.
                        I turned away
                                and never came
                                        back.

I'm sorry,
        but how was this
                for the best?

Best for you,
        but never me
                because I'll miss you
                        more than you ever
                              missed me
I may not have the wealth,
The fame,  or the power

I may not have the gold,
The bronze, or silver

I may not have the beauty-
Of the  body, or of the face

I may not be the best-
Woman,  citizen or race

I may not see what they can
Or make loud noise like their laugh

I may not have this world
But having your love  is enough.
I love you.
Love her like
She's the raging sea,
Unrestrained and dark and deep.
And you crave her touch
Through aching pores
As you slowly drown in sleep.

Love her like
She's the tender storm,
A lovely shade of grey.
Like with every whiff
Of breath she takes,
She's taking yours away.

Love her like
She's the silent clouds
With calmness floating by.
Like you'd want to make
Sweet love to her
Under the moon's apocalyptic eye.

Love her like
She's the blazing fire,
And you lust the candied pain.
Like she's the disease
That swallowed you whole
And you'd like to die again.

When her gentle touch
Makes your chest explode,
And your addiction is your girl.
Promise you'll love her
Through hell and back,
Or don't you dare love her at all.
Remember
Civilization
Like the tide
Was created
To rise
And recede
Nothing Lasts forever
bitter winds blow across this land
you can taste it on your tongue
bitter ends show costs we don't plan
hard to face it for the young

swollen hearts beat inside a dream
you can feel it in your chest
holding parts sweeter than it seems
hard to heal it at our best

bitter winds are cursing the air
you can hear it in the breeze
litter wins when it versus the care
hard to bear the times like these
