The Devil
GABRIELLE May 2022
She has the spirit of a wolf that belongs to every man
Built a pack and conquered all crowns
Hides silently in every closet, worn as dress exquisitely covered with thorns
She gathers all with just a whisper, and rules over with a simple tug of the string

An Epitome of Art
GABRIELLE Sep 2018
He loves art
He talked about it with glistening eyes and a smile painted on his face
I asked him the names of the masterpieces he like
He talked and talked, enumerating the things he love
I stared at him and waited to name himself

Is it this easy to miss someone
but hard enough to make them come back?
GABRIELLE Feb 2017
Kasabay ng aking paggawa ng tula
ay ang pagbitaw sa pangako mo na
"akin kang babalikan"

You Are My Poetry
GABRIELLE Nov 2016
Every stain
of my ink
means pain
I couldn't speak
Every rhyme I make
are songs I couldn't sing
Every thought of you
are tragic
Every line
Every word
Screams your name
they couldn't spell

The Song
GABRIELLE Oct 2016
He’s the voice

The song she waited long enough to hear

A rhythm flowing freely with the wind

The letters her poems failed to spell

Words her poems can’t scream

He’s the song

The melody

The beat

The soundtrack of her heart

Vanished Part
GABRIELLE Oct 2016
Define her
And striking words will come out of your mouth
Like a cover of a beguiling book
Look at it and you’ll find it on your hands
Read it
But take heed
For pages are torn apart

For You
GABRIELLE Oct 2016
I’m here again
Writing you a poem
Typing the letters which I hope
Will lead to you
At 11 pm
I sit still
And watch the night sky turn to be light
11:11 came
And I hope this poem
Will take the biggest hole in your heart
People may be forgotten
But words will stay, always

Paragons
GABRIELLE Sep 2016
Like a fire
During the rain,
A hail
On a deserted place,
Like an astronaut
That’s scared of heights,:
Structures of teachers
While giving future to the youth

Their blood has the color of gold
A treasure in disguise
A diamond
Shining each and everyday
They are saviors
A legend for sure
Taught us to mirror the future
Make it better than that

While learners turn to black and gray,
They use their chalk
To make it vibrant
Like a wrecked road
Alone in the middle of nowhere,
Fixed it
Then made it
A road to triumph

Danger
GABRIELLE Sep 2016
Your face says it all
It screams the word danger
Sirens race when you’re near
You made me drink the liquid you gave
Realized it was a potion full of lies
But I guess people love hazard
Overdrawn my heart two times in a row
Still, I want you here beside me as I halt
You came like youngsters in the movies
You left like a nightmare who took my breathe away

Prosopagnosia
GABRIELLE Sep 2016
I want to write about you
I want to let you know
I’ll send my love to you from afar
I want to write about you

I want to write about you
Describe you as a perfect disaster
Make you feel the same way I feel
I want to write about you

I want to write about you
Make you a king among all the people
I’ll give you the crown you deserve
I want to write about you

I want to write about you
Your hair always up in a quiff
Eyes shining like a dime
I want to write about you

I want to write about you
Tell you how it feels
To not be loved back
I want to write about you

I want to write about you
Tell them how it feels
When you looked at my way
I want to write about you

I want to write about you
Tell them how it feels
When you looked at her with affection
I want to write about you

I want to write about you
Tell them how much I want your eyes to look at me
Tell them how much I want you to smile at me
I want to write about you

I want to write about you
Months had passed
And now I can’t remember your face
I want to write about you

I want to remind you
Notice me as soon as you see me
‘Cause I might not remember your face
I want to remind you

I want to remind you
Talk to me please
Your voice is only what I can recognize
I want to remind you

Poets
GABRIELLE Sep 2016
They take you to beautiful realms of life
Let you travel to their beautiful thoughts
Let you wander around their world
Make you smile while reading their sonnets
Giving rhymes on every line
Let you enjoy the magnificence of words combined
But what you didn’t know
Is the meaning of those striking words they wrote
Behind those they’re breaking
Turning their whole hearts to now shattered glass
‘Cause remarkable words can sometimes mean chaos too
Dear poets,
I thank you for letting me know
How beautiful and tragic love is

Dreaming of You
GABRIELLE Sep 2016
Still lacking for your love
Searching for the adoration you dearth
Spilling the liquid off my jar
Hoping you wrote something there

In my imagination,
we appeared as one
Remembering our vivid memories
But can’t reminisce a thing

GABRIELLE Sep 2016
Tell me vivid lies
Tell me it's me all along
Take me to Neverland
Where truths will never be told
Take me to Wonderland
Where we can wander all day
Be my magician
Make me believe to that mellifluous voice of yours
For the truth is a poison
Give me a caution

Mirror
GABRIELLE Aug 2016
A girl
I once loved
stares right back at me
with her jet black hair
and icy blue eyes
Copying my every move
I looked at my back
but she's gone
I turned to the right,
then left
she's nowhere to be found
I looked in front
and there she is
a reflection of me

Unseen Pain
GABRIELLE Aug 2016
And then
She wrote
Sending butterflies
During wintertime
Sending hail
To the snow-less place
The whole world
Jumped with joy
But I refused
Every line of her poem
Every word she used
Sent blades
Blades sharp enough
To hide in my heart
Blades sharp enough
To know how injured she is

Into the deepest hole
Let it go

Write it in history

Winter Snow Tale
GABRIELLE Aug 2016
Comparing her
With the other girl
Same face
Same taste

She's funny
And nice
The other one is cold
And fierce

They have the same voice
Same voice but different tones
Kind of similar
But will always differ

Once upon a time
This little girl was so nice
The other one is cold as ice
Suddenly, everything changed in a blink of an eye

She disappeared
Drifted away, faded
Left them behind
Left him behind

She left just before the spring came
She left just before the winter vanished
She left the night before
She left the night after a precious day

She left without saying a word
She left without saying goodbye
She left at midnight
Cold, but has a heart of fire

Snow, Snow
Please come out
Snow, Snow
Please stop hiding

Winter, Winter
Stop trying
Winter, Winter
You don't deserve him

Suddenly, Spring came
And everything changed
Everyone changed
Just like how the season changed

Let it snow, let it snow, let it sno- Wait
Was it still Snow I see?
Or Spring
Who creeps the hell out of me?

4 years had passed
But the feeling
It's always there
They won't just go away

Hey King
What would you choose?
Winter Wonderland
Or Let it Snow?

Look at Me, Stranger
GABRIELLE Aug 2016
Hey there, stranger
Listen so it will be clearer
As winter slowly fades
Spring must be there always
As the moon finds its way home
Sun will take its place
As you feel the pain of your wound
It will soon drift away

Hey there
Good-looking stranger
Look at me
But not intently
Open your eyes
Be brave look at me
Be strong and see
All that's been waiting

From the stars above
Glistening through the dark
To this brown soil
Ready to be stepped on
From the birds
Flying freely up above
To these little earth worms
Living down under

Look at me
There's someone out there
Better than her
Look at me
Can't you see?
I'm here waiting
Years and years had passed
But the feeling, it won't just go away
