the poetry meanders like
a pleasant stream
singing of autumn leaves,

breath as tranquil as a star in
the blue night,

our margins gather space
wait for the poetry to emerge
like trembling smoke,

our love rushing to wake
to gather songs of an
october sea.

eyes water
throat burns
heart wrenches
mind churns

know it’s a weakness
but can’t hold it back
fight it too hard
whole world turns black

emotion?
empathy?
frailty?
strength?

have to **** it
that place inside
that feels so much
it breaks the sky

a real man today
for the very first time
everyone knows
real men don’t cry
you know the value of a word
and can place it with great care
you see colors in a rainbow
others wouldn’t know were there
you can find the silver lining
of the darkest thunder cloud
or make a grown man weep
when he reads your words out loud
you live your life wide open
wear your heart upon your sleeve
give your friends the gift of laughter
and console them when they grieve
you take all the pieces of a life
and use words to make the whole
if you're reading this right now
it means you have a poets soul
There are so many wonderful people and poets on this site, this is my thank you for being awesome poem.
we said
we were both better off
but that didn't wash the
metallic taste of blood
from biting my tongue
and begging you to stay.

they say
a watched *** never boils
and that is why I turned my back on the door,
still hoping you would come through it
and say I'm home.

you said
we were forever
but you're the boy
who never could fully love
and I'm the girl
who loved too much
and together we were
chaos and destruction,
a shattered glass in a child's hands.
without cease nor rest
no heartbeats fast
no color trails behind
how long will we
the waters test?
Until our eyes go blind?

the hour hand comes
so slow at night
though it leaves me tired at day
exhausted of what's left behind
content with what's to stay

a morbid heart
you carved into
the perfect shape of pain
tainted with all your memories -
blurry image stains

I love you still
though it's only ache
that is reserved for I
go and carve the way you like
no need to answer why.

At the bottom of my lungs that breath of old, stale air sits deep in my chest and weighs me down so
No matter how hard I exhale it will not leave my soul
I will fight and never let it take control. Darkness you are not my friend but What an enemy you've become
A worthy opponent with stamina and run
But please it's about time I've kicked you to the curb
Every street I walk down you're at every turn
And how I wish you'd die
And how I'd wish you'd live
And how I wish I'd killed you long ago With hopes you'd never give.
If we are but grains of sand,
he is a warm embrace and soft kisses as
she is the single pearl ring given to a blushing date.
If we are but grains of sand,
he is the oyster that works like a factory and
she is now part of the bracelet given to the new bride.
If we are but grains of sand,
he is the hands that pries her free but
she is already in the long necklace hanging from the neck of a grieving widow.
If we are but grains of sand,
he is the greatest lie and
she is the most lovely tragedy.
The winds they whisper everything,
But tell me nothing.
Every sense I still can't feel,
is hidden in the trees.

I can't get lost in mother earth
If she spit me from her womb.
A rebel born,
In a universe with no room.

The earth herself,
The sky so unknown.
With no history of man
Has made us her home.
Just saying, this was a challenge for me to write in under five minutes. Did it in three. **** on it.
