Sweet Water's Serenade
Sweet water flows from saintly hills,
each honeyed drop of amber;
Rambling downward in lush cascades,
filling golden pools of nectar.

Those drizzled sounds reverberate,
among the mountains' craggy stones;
As subtle strains of melodies,
infuse love's enchanting tones.

A symphony emanates with flair,
as sparrows join in harmony;
And with their chirping notes of joy,
embodies a touch of fantasy.

The sumptuous springs below the hills,
where all of nature comes to play;
Revive the air in fragrant scents,
yielding life's glorious serenade.

The Brevity of Hours
Now is the time of fading light,
when summer's sun has said goodnight;
It swiftly left with changing winds,
erasing heat that burns and stings.

The cooler days are brief and bare,
yet often shine with golden flair;
Despite the warmth that's gone away,
we marvel at Autumn's fine display.

With sweaters keeping chills at bay,
we watch the trees in colorful array;
And silvery skies with scarlet streaks,
are heaven's gifts for us to keep.

While ghosts and goblins come alive,
and scarecrows show their frightening sides;
The pumpkin path is swathed in frost,
as the 'Headless Horseman' rides across !

There's such wonder in these hours brief,
with children gathering up each leaf;
Which change to bronze before their eyes,
in the shortened days of Fall's surprise.

Relinquishment
Under a brilliantly chilled blue sky,
the dusky cedars grow in strength;
While the serenity of newly fallen snow,
glitters in the sunlight's timeless bend.

Lost in an echo of angel's footsteps,
I seek the dimmer sanctuary of shade;
Hiding my inner thoughts from open spaces,
as the winter's sun burns sharper than a blade.

I hear the ringing rhapsodies of cardinals red,
spreading their sweetest notes across the plains;
While resting in the ragged twisted treetops,
the munificence of music's charm remains.

My thoughts were once a clamoring onslaught,
of tormented memories from my current loss;
Yet now my heart's awakened to a paradise,
as I silently relinquish that ill-fated course.

With one deep breath I rise amid the ashes,
of restless slumber's curse which held me back;
But with this wondrous world in resolution,
the hunger and the thirst no longer last.

Lonely Shadows
On a windless day of wandering egos,
which clash against their imperfections;
No longer steeped in greed and grief,
to seek vacant and useless reflections.

As shadows drift along naked trees,
telling macabre stories of imminent plots;
Aspiring to grasp beyond their motives,
twisting all hearts and minds into knots.

If we could only find some refuge,
from these ghostly images that assail;
Upon the innocence the lies far below,
each strong and soulful attempt to prevail.

Life is never what it appears to be,
when solemn darkness invades the heart;
With ghastly sounds of wrenching pain,
in haunting echoes that will not depart.

But shadows often often know their place,
when faith and courage both awaken;
Dispelling fears with strength of Will,
and the good Lord's divine intervention.

Carry Me Home
I'd been washed up on foreign shores,
for several hours, breathing shallow;
My hands swollen from the heat,
salt-water and sand I surely swallowed.

With no memory of how this occurred,
I then crawled onto the barren beach;
And lay there alone just hoping for,
someone to come and bring relief.

The sun was setting in crimson and gold,
and around me gulls had taken flight;
I shivered with the cool ocean's breeze,
then softly cried well into the night.

By dawn came the heat of a simmering sun,
my clothes still damp but nearly dry;
I sat up and watched the tide roll in,
and again I heard seagulls' mournful cries.

But suddenly appeared an angelic mist,
and with tender words did comfort me;
My aching head and sunburned limbs,
were wrapped in grace and sweet company.

It was then I knew that heaven was real,
(though often entertaining cynical doubts);
Of ever looking into the face of God,
but somehow was welcomed to His Holy House.

Moonbeams
Watching the crescent moon hang low,
in a curious curve of sumptuous grace;
Gold and silver sparks dance around it,
lighting the sky while shooting through space.

This scenic vista is just the beginning,
of the heavens blooming in all their glory;
As if poised to float clear down to earth,
relating a true and timeless story.

From my window as I contemplate,
the mystical message lying in store;
I sense a downward shift of energy,
revealing a path through Nature's door.

The moon knows when to change course,
but it always has intentions to share;
Each beam of light that dazzles the earth,
and freely wanders in the vast open air.

Then lulled to sleep by moonbeams' spell,
those cosmic flashes through the night;
Will urge and ignite everyone's dreams,
bringing us solace and sheer delight !

Beneath the Surface
Lingering in the heavy mist of shadows,
a blinding light from underneath the waters;
Piercing the cobalt sky with knife-like prongs,
against the rippling tides of ocean's tatters.

Then as the sea rages on with lightning flashes,
its waves rambling far from sandy shores;
And down below all creatures cling to life,
while trapped within its consecrated lure.

The wayward shells now strewn across the beach,
pretending they are safe when sunset glows;
Yet even as the winds turn soft and breezy,
a wounded bird is caught in frantic blows.

As glittering waves embrace the darkest night,
and seagulls thrash about in ocean's depth;
Beneath them shines a bolt of secret light,
where all the lowly creatures quietly wept.

The listening hearts in every single land,

With Energy and Will in strong embrace,

A pathway to the stars of spirit force,

And entering a world where dreams don't falter,

Quiet Belief
We all believed in miracles,
a candle in the dark;
To light the fire of endless hope,
with its glowing golden spark.

The air was filled with angels,
and reflective wraiths around;
With magic visions everywhere,
which never made a sound.

Quietly the moon dissolved,
within a starry sky;
And silver streams flowed mystically,
along the mountainside.

While all the margins of the earth,
are fading into space;
The Good Lord reaches out to us,
with sweet compassion on His face.

Sapphire Seas
The ominous waves crash to the shore,
a blazing sun sparkling upon them;
A turbulent ocean cries in ecstasy,
emitting many colors of precious gems.

Blue topaz glistens within its folds,
as cool emeralds land on the beach;
The pearly white of swirling foam,
bubbles and bursts in swift retreat.

But as sailboats float in the distance,
distinct in their parallel scheme;
Our eyes are met with diamonds,
a royal tribute to the dazzling scene.

Soon the afternoon sun begins to set,
spreading all its natural gleam;
And violet streaks reflect upon,
the undulating surface of the sea.

Follow scores of dancing sapphires,
cool and rich as an autumn sky;
Faithfully cruise against the horizon,
capturing starlight within their sighs.
I'm a 'Scorpio' hence I heed the call of the ocean !

The Autumn of Our Years
In these swiftly flying days of ours,
when sun gives way to majestic stars;
And mellowed signs betray our trust,
from floating winds of fairy dust.

We can see the future fall away,
in aging hopes from souls' dismay;
With changes setting out a course,
which beckons in bittersweet remorse.

Life takes its turns and spirals far,
from countless dreams filled in a jar;
That promised we would rise in place,
beyond the sorrows we can't erase.

Yet in the bank of treasured memories,
our lonely thoughts turn light and free;
Recalling when the world was young,
as beating hearts blended into one.

Love always defies the ancient rules,
which smother us and make us fools;
Forever in our souls we'll strive,
to carry on throughout our lives.

The autumn of our years lament,
but somehow we remain content;
On seeing all the cherished smiles,
who've lived and loved across the miles.

Sensitive meanings from empty words,
reset the subject's perception;
Into the mind in honored time,
becomes reality's connection.

Seeing is believing but trust awaits,
from the pillar of hyperbole;
Amidst the looming lightning strike,
the answers gather openly.

As if a memory passed along,
the river of deep contention;
Each vision proves its worthiness,
while reflecting life's projection.

In eyes which widen with ecstasy,
a costly price is duly paid;
And where the road curves slowly,
we're aghast at what's relayed.

Clear Sailing
The placid sea called out to me,
on a path to find the sun;
My ship was blue as blue could be,
and swiftly did she run !

The glowing haze that prompted me,
to sail in unknown waters;
Had caught my eye for many years,
I'd known its sense of wonder.

The days before I took this trip,
I lay in pastures green;
Just watching sparks fly from the sun,
while pondering my dream.

Perhaps I'll never get there,
but I've simply got to try;
For my heart belongs to smiling days,
of sunshine in my eyes.

a service to the coming storm;
Steady hearts and minds awaken,
before the trees of life are shaken.

As howling winds perpetuate,
resounding forces of nature's fate;
Colossal dreams and visions soar,
from drifting leaves in endless swirl.

How lonely is the purple night,
with hopes of stars in gentle flight;
The willing soul with deep resolve,

The Evanescent Evening
Softer is the sparkle of the day,
as hazy evenings turn muted and gray;
And shadows stretch across each noble tree,
with an overwhelming stark reality.

The flowers say goodnight with flourish,
as the sky sheds blue spilling into sage;
Could it be an evening shower awaits us,
while bustling clouds erupt with mighty rage ?

The storm is brief with sudden bursts of rain,
and from the porch our senses are aroused;
To feel the eerie quiet that quickly follows,
in a lonely state that nature has espoused.

The sunshine beams ahead in glorious crimson,
like a velvet cloak to chase away our fears;
And wrapped carefully in solitary splendor,
its mourning message sent without the tears.

Shades of night sweep through this vivid scene,
as kaleidoscopic colors streak the corners of;
The heavens which provide protective layers,
soothing the evanescent evening from above.

And while the evening sounds the night's alarm,
passing through and setting nature's stage;
The galaxies of stars shine through the darkness,
gently spreading the Almighty's holy grace.

The colors of umbrella's sphere,
can awaken what we need to hear;
With bright array they spin and toss,
regaining springtime that was lost.

With water falling from the sky,
our visions cloudy from eye to eye;
Yet stripes above protect our heads,
with carousels swinging clearest red.

The boundaries are now set in place,
like the moon and stars from outer space;
We can't move on beyond the rain,
despite the need to ease our pain.

Outside each moment seems to last,
while sands shift in the hourglass;
Contented now to remain unseen;
we stand in sight of luscious green.

Pain and hurt beyond the scale,
hearts that linger cold and bare;
Tendencies to grasp the chance,
to seal our fate without a glance.

We can't revive the soul's true will,
by wandering off among the chill;
Which clears emotions from the shelf,
in frozen thoughts of nature's wealth.

When we can't see what lies ahead,
still humbled by our daily bread;
We find a place where fiery stands,
can take the horror from our hands.

God bless the sad and lonely child,
whose face reflects the meek and mild;
When glorious spirits break the ties,
those afflicted fade away and die.

as they chirp their sweetest refrain.

Within a sphere of crystal wonder,
reflecting mirrored shadows from afar;

to share with saints in heaven's cove.

And quickly winds regain their will,
to fly among the sacred hills;
with melodies poured from clouds on high,
which harmonize with the cobalt sky.

when touched by breezes soft as sand;
With open hearts folks greet the day,

The luminous sky of velvety red,
hangs high above beyond my bed;
And from the window I can see,
a scarlet rose that wanders free.

It floats along in silent grace,
this captive flower of outer space;
Against the moon its color gleams,
like tiny flecks of summer's schemes.

Yet here we are in autumn's night,
with streaks of golden comets' flight;
Creating such a wondrous scene,
from rosy sky's romantic theme.

A canopy of darkness looms,
erasing brightness from my room;
And gone are streaming rays of red,
which lift my heart above my head.

Inspiring Moods
It's written in the vastness of the sky,
heroic signs that glimmer like the stars;
And stories old--and told--that signify,

Look closer as the trees lose all their buds,
and wither in a night which never ends;
Autumnal forces energize then wilt,
like shadows of a heart that cannot mend.

Seasons fly with sudden windswept tears,

We gather strength to fight the weary hours,

With tall strands of native flowers,
while wearing an enchanting smile.

in rural, rustic France--
And comb the lacy fields of lavender,

on huge cotton blankets embracing us all;
As evening shade turns into velvet night,
the angelic stars creep into our sight.

Behold ! The majesty of changing hours,
the heat from daylight's surging powers;
Now cool and calm in serene delight,
with peaceful sleep under soft moonlight.

The Desert Sands
I walked along the desert in burning winds,
the sand was hot as coal on my bare feet;
Each step I took reminded me of summer,
when the sizzling sun would cause me to retreat.

Just knowing you were far away I wondered,
if you ever stopped to think of happy times;
When troubles disappeared as we embraced,
and each moment was a gift of love sublime.

If I continued trudging onward it may happen,
that mirage of wondrous miracles from my mind;
As thirst began to overtake my wounded body,
a respite from this hellish  journey would be kind.

While collapsing in a heap upon the ground,
my body soaked in sweat and lingering dust;
An eerie vision formed before my swollen eyes,
with a face I deemed too difficult to trust.

Next thing I knew the water readily poured,
upon my parched red lips and crusty limbs;
It was you who came to save me from myself,
this selfish soul who'd left you on a whim.

And now we're free to love as we once did,
the sands have cooled beneath us as we lie;
We'll talk about the time we surely wasted,
when last we kissed in haste and said goodbye.

Seasons Change
At last the sun decided to recede,
and dismal clouds suddenly appeared;
In grey-green puffs of swirling smoke,
while crystal rain fell down in tears.

The night seemed in an endless whirl,
of lightning bolts and blustery winds;
I closed my eyes when thunder raged,
and pulled the covers to my chin.

My room appeared as black as coal,
its shadows foretelling ageless tales;
Of great mysteries from ancient times,
while words dissolved into ghastly wails.

Soon awakened from restless slumber,
with profound relief at what I saw;
The burnished golden bloom of day,
as summer had turned into shining Fall.

Avenues of Thought
Clinging to the words of inspiration,
marking every moment of elation;
Seeking to propel this last creation,
into avenues of thought and admiration.

Crowded paths of overflowing minds,
convey messages of life in clever rhymes;
Mystic images might often seem sublime,
denoting worthiness of our substantial time.

We go about the day as wonders grow,
and fill the void of empty-headed show;
Words appearing magically in streaming flow,
awakening like blossoms under the snow.

And with the latest work at fingers' touch,
we let the public share in curious watch;
With hope--ideas stir toward faithful trust,
of connections made by willing poets' ******.

Dispelling Darkness
In contrast with reality---thoughts fade to black,
in hidden corners of the mind which sanity lacks;
Away from fondest hope to salvage memories,
deep within the screaming cries 'til eternity.

Yet forces pull each vision towards the colors,
that brighten up the world in mystic wonder;
And with that glorious rainbow shining full,
the dark relents aligned with nature's rule.

Greens and blues bring peace to heavy hearts,
brimming with softened hues that set apart;
Dissolving pinks and yellows in their wake,
as kaleidoscopes release in constant quake.

Like a painter's brush creates an artful scene,
which spreads its magic wand in luscious gleam;
A mosaic filled with lightness soon remains,
to rid each desperate mind of blackened reign.

What Lies Beneath
When human hearts are shattered and lost,
and wonder why there's a higher cost;
For wanting lives to be settled along,
the corridors of a streaming song---

The poets ponder deep desires,
as captured souls stick in the mire;
While days diminish through the dark,
of purple nights where fears embark.

What lies beneath in spirits' land,
will comfort all in life's demand;
And when released the hopeful dwell,
on magic dreams that cast their spells.

We'll surely win this race for time,
to see a world which reigns sublime;
By simply looking down below,
where roses climb through winter's snow.

At Dusk
The mood seems desolate at dusk,
a time when emotions are on the rise;
The shining hours of day are gone,
and mystical images confront our eyes.

Not quite sure of what we see,
in the vastness of the indigo skies;
'Round about the glowing lamps of light,
keenly focused upon iridescent sights.

Are we witnessing life's mysteries unfold,
the way our elders' stories told ?
Yet darker still our evening grows,
shivering, shaking in the windless cold.

Sitting close on our front porch swing,
seeking wonders of imagining;
There they go--the ghosts of our youth,
which beckon still despite the sting.

We're not alone as visions float by,
and dawn reveals what the future may bring.

Summer Splendor
In sunshine's rays the flowers bloom and sway,
from warming breezes blessed in sweet array;
The turquoise sky alert with wondrous sheen,
as tiny wisps of clouds float through the scene.

And on the hill a group of maple trees,
show off their velvet green in bundled leaves;
While lilies' solemn dance compels our eyes,
to smooth and gentle grasses where we lie.

A wicker chair of white sits in the meadow,
a parasol of lacy pink creates cool shadow;
And in a basket filled with hearty treats,
are fruitful gems just ready for a feast.

How ever-pleasant are the solstice days,
their moments of delight in cheerful ways;
And when the sun has lowered past the hill,
myriads of twinkling stars embrace us still.

Testament
Beyond the salt waters of the sea,
my thoughts roam far and wander free;
They're often dreams in hazy light,
fueled by the darkness of the night.

To sit and watch the cunning waves,
my lonely heart seeks to be saved;
From haunting fears of blazing fire,
dissolving souls in ancient ire.

Yet often I can sense a wraith,
that floats above with timeless faith;
In spirit's game that casts upon,
the carefree promises of the dawn.

As testament to heaven's worth,
and miracles gathered here on earth;
My heart is filled with honored grace,
which shines upon this time and place.
