Hers was a calm place
And mine was an utter mess
Is it possible?

When do I begin
To hide insecurities
and just be myself

I always feel dazed
The closer I get to you
Should love be numbing?

I can't see clearly
Yet I decided to stay
In dark rooms and halls

Try
Try
Even if the world doesn't

Try
Even if no one wouldn't

Try
Even if people say you shouldn't

For as long as you're happy
And no one gets hurt

The world will still turn
The world will still say words

So try, keep trying

Try until you're fulfilled
Until you can already say no
Until you find solace
Until you are at peace in your silence

I was drowning in loneliness
My mind was shutting down
I was helpless, aimless
My heart wasn't pumping blood

And so I walked up the stairs
With a blank mind
With a heartless heart
I met you, it was a blind spot
I never saw you, but I saw through you
You left a sting, painful but surreal

I came back down, lightheaded
It was a mistake, I thought to myself
But you were different, you calmed me down
And now I'm happy, and now I'm sad.

Just five feet away
And yet I don't even know
How to say hello
