Since the only acceptable response to a poem

Is praise

I might as well start out by just basking in the glory

Of my poetic prowess

//

Wow !

Feels good !

//

**** !

Why waste my time even writing the

**** thing ?

No one else seems to make any effort to be clear

But then

What difference does it make

Since quality has been deemed irrelevant

In our meaningless society

And our self - aggrandizing moral stupor !

The NEW WAVE poetry

Has become the

MAKE NO WAVES poetry

And we the poets

Of the

IGNORANCE IS BLISS

social order

//

Congratulations !

••

We have degraded poetry

And art

And love

And life itself

To preserve our egos

••

Feels great !

( less filling ! )

""

So

Thanks for the praise my fellow poets

With our actual real lack of support

For each other

Seeped in the pretensions of

Our phony insightfulness

I feel well equipped now

To live a life of imaginary happiness

And fake love

Thank you thank you

YOU'RE TRULY WELCOME
Over the shadows
Is a day where colors are made
Each moment we talk,we meet and smile.
Each moment we fight and then anger put to side.
Has a pinch of color to offer,
Smile and giggles spread in the air,
Heart jumps, shouts,laugh and flies
As if grown with feather.
A perfect day that begin with splendour
Where we weave the world of ours through the words together.
Where I see the picture of desire
and all dismay burn to fire
During the evening space shrink , time stand still
I see a sweet plunder of hearts that has begin,
In the nights ,colors appeared
A beautiful midnight rainbow was formed
Whose ends rest on two heart,
The night was about to slip
I closed my eyes and wished
Another day that will hold us together
then sleep comes and touches my eyes as the ray of satisfaction
As this was the only I wanted since ever..
After repeated inquiries
into the state of my mind
                                                      you
resort to lingering side-
long glances, trying to
                                                      see
the truth behind my
steadfast denials and
imitation smiles.

You attempt slyness, but
                                                      I'm
quick to notice these
analytical gazes. It's not
your fault that I am
both unable and unwilling
to allow you into
the maze of my mind.

Though hurtful
to us both, it's
                                                      just so
much easier to lash out
than to let you in.

There's simply nothing
                                                      good
in there, you see. Trust
me when I say the terrors
flinging themselves
                                                      at
my brain will gladly
make you their prey too.
No one is safe from my
                                                      sabotage.

Because she could not see—
Song in flower, light in lovers abed,
Dream unfolding as we touched,
Because her great beauty was gifted
It was unfelt, undeserved, shunned,
Making her even more irresistible.

Because I could not hold on to self,
Beside such dream, lost to my hands
As prints clutched into the ruin dark
Of her indifference, I made peace
With subjugation and humilities riven
Out of soul and flesh and hollow being.

Because we were unknowing, each
A foil unto ourselves as we cried—
This then was daymare riding in sun,
Twin delusions in oft reign of blood,
O what stories we both shall die to tell,
How the itch of desire scratches bare
Whole psyche as it writhes in a shell.

We weren't each other's firsts but if we let that get to us we won't be each other's last.

Hearts are
Wild creatures,
That's why our ribs
Are  cages
Oh, slow to smit and swift to spare,
Gentle and merciful and just!
Who, in the fear of God, didst bear
The sword of power, a nation's trust!

In sorrow by thy bier we stand,
Amid the awe that hushes all,
And speak the anguish of a land
That shook with horror at thy fall.

Thy task is done; the bond of free;
We bear thee to an honored grave,
Whose proudest monument shall be
The broken fetters of the slave.

Pure was thy life; its bloddy close
Hath placed thee with the sons of light,
Among the noble host of those
Who perished in the cause of Right.
