Sally A Bayan
(a repost from 2013)

My mind is teeming with rhymes, but,
Can't even decide on the first lines to write,
I am confused...... I keep on waiting....
Precious moments are taking too long
To come through.
Right now, I am having
A motley of thoughts,
I am feeling sad...
I am feeling blue
I am coping with anxiety
I sure need a remedy.

Dan Brown? Ludlum? Khaled Hosseini?
Maybe, a Children's Tale by Richard D. Remler,
Or...one from those of a good Soul(in torment)....
I could make a necklace out of pearls and Lapiz Lasuli
Or I could turn to my Gardenia plants, to prune and trim....
A journal and a pen for some memories, some new lines...
A glass of red or white wine would be nice,
A mug of steaming coffee would be heaven....
Still, all these combined would not suffice...
I sure need the best remedy...

I know myself too well....
This time, I need my elixir,
My cure-all...
I need my panacea,
I need YOU.

(but, where are you?)
...it doesn't make sense...

***This is a repost from 2013---edited a bit...it brings such pleasure, when reading what was written some years ago...to know how one felt then...
how writing style had changed...from then, to now....it also
feels good to read thoughts from long ago...***

Hold

Nida Mahmoed
Time is running like a fast train,
But there is always a time,
To hold a moment,
To feel a love,
To say all; which still are hidden,
There is always a time,
To make things right,
To know your real feelings,
Convincing ourselves; we are right,
Chosen to stick with stubborn behaviour,
Destroying nothing but you,
Change it; before there is no mean to change,
Everything can start again,
Every moment, you can hold and become whoever you have waited to become!

It is inevitable that
there comes a time
in everyone’s life
that they must
endure a hardship.
The strong and successful
take this hard-ship
and turn themselves
into somewhat
of a Captain Hook,
basically taking the role as
the only person that can
guide their boat
out of the storm.
Similar to roaming
the oceans for weeks,
there comes days
where unexpected blocks
attempt to take a
stab at our vessels.
Science tells us that
with punctures to
our arteries we bleed out.
Use this vital fluid,
mix it with the
very drops of tears
that shed from your baby blues,
and construct a potion.
Witches use this
technique for self pleasure,
which is probably
what you should do.
If anyone tries to
hurt you again
then slip in a
sip of your produced toxic tonic.
Rebuild your barriers
and do not allow anyone
to break it down until you have
total trust in them.
There will come
a day much like
1989 for Berlin,
where the process for
dismantling your wall
will come to pass.
Until then just
never forget the
small things in life
that make you who
you are.
I have this power
that allows me to
look into the
future and witness
someone’s fate.
All I can tell you
is that you can be the director.
If you were in a movie right now,
you would be near the
end of the first cinema.
Let’s call it The Dark Night.
Don’t forget that with
every questionable
ending comes a sequel,
and I promise that
you will
Rise.

I'm learning how to see
Rainbows in the dark
In the midst of what I call loss
There is something gained

I just have to figure out what it is

And maybe this is all
Maybe something more
In the middle of an ocean
My feet upon the ground

I'm learning how to see
The particle and the wave
What it always was
And what it can be

I just have to figure out what it is

Flowers mesmerised
by their glow aloft the tree
do have vertigo.

A flower, lowly perched,
mesmerises my grandchild, chasing...
a blue butterfly.
It is often quite windy in the quiet suburb where I live. My grandson Kunhoottan is 21 months old. We spend much time daily exploring the surroundings.

little do you know,
that my heart is breaking,
as you're sound asleep.

little do you know,
my thoughts are drowning,
in our memories.

little do you know
i stay up late at night,
wondering why you did
this to me.

little do you know,
i'm trying to put myself back together,
piece by piece.

little do you know,
i forgive you,
but forgetting,
is a different thing.

little do you know,
that I love you,
but the pain is killing me.

little do you know.*
