the snow is finally thawing and the ground has become visible again/I think I can finally start to forget about what happened back then

The other day
my dad asked if
I am happy
and I didn't know
how I could answer
and I couldn't lie
but I couldn't worry him
there was a long silence
I took a deep breath
and said
I'm doing my best

I'm a little home sick
and a little homeless
never knowing where
I belong
anymore.

Sadness lingers
missing a home
no longer mine
Take me home
so I can see
a place
where I can be.

Autumn
And after a certain amount of time you think it's gone
Until you're driving and you take the sharp turn really fast in front of that car and chance crashing into someone head on
Until you realize you wanted that for a second
For a bit
For a little while longer
...
Until you realize while laying down that you still aren't good enough
Until you realize it's all still here
Until you realize maybe
I should do something about
It
Being
Here
Still.

Liz And Lilacs
I saw her shadow in eyes of golden flame;
Nothing to lose, something to gain.

She exhaled whispered promises, tendrils of sin.
Her cold lips smiled; insidious is her grin

She spun and spun with airy grace
But nothing fled the ivory mask, her face.

The snow fell softly under the pale moon;
I saw her within my mind far too soon.

She is a dream stuck between
a first kiss and a dying wish
an eternity trapped in a moment
and a forever lost long ago
the dried bones of an angels spine
and the dust from a dead humming birds wing
the hidden fire in a dragons belly
and the color of a mermaids breath
the first hairs of a paint brush
and the last drop of paint
the thread that stitches beauty to a heart
and the dull edge that cuts love apart
the keeper of the universes secrets
and the narrator that spills the truth at the end
the blood flowing through life
and the wind that warns of death
the end of time
and the begining of nothing and nowhere
she is and she isn't
and every star and every leaf
knows her by name
and yesterday and tomorrow
live in the space between her eyes
and today is just a dream
she continuously spins
on the end of her fingertips
words are travelling hundreds of miles an hour through my mind and the only one that keeps coming back to the forefront is your name

they'll tell you not to get attached but you need to hold your ground and hope somewhere in between intertwined bodies and black coffee they can understand that you prefer the word passion

lust and love are not synonymous but i've always had a hard time trying to remember that because how can i tell what's what when the breathing is heavy and the movements slow, the mouths full but the bodies hollow

take me and engulf me in a fire so strong ill burn and forget who i am, take me and kiss me so deep ill become convinced you and i are are not two separate people, tell me what you don't want so i can turn around and give it to you, teach me what i've been learning all along, help me forget that i keep making the same mistakes over, and over, and over again

when i come back push me away, and when you leave kiss me goodbye
