Sunset falls low, dark,
The trees fade from green to black -
Lights dim, one last breath.
Passed the past,
Looking ahead beyond time -
One precocious step.
I, with every ounce of who I am, need you...
I need you to complete my sentence, my day and me -
You are always following my thoughts,
Knocking on my every conceived notion to be let in -
                                                                                                                                     Please, come in...

I, fiercely want every morsel of you -
I want you beneath me, on top of me, in front of me,
But...        more than anything...
                                         I want you beside me...
Walking with me through this haze of a life together -
Figuring the world out as one,
Living a great adventure and setting the world ablaze...
All it will take is one word -

                                                                           Yes.
Images captioned by darkness,

My eyes closed...
Invasive thoughts -
Somber mind,
Silhouette of those lips...

Your taste on my toungue -
Our love entangled,
Us; Together...
My not so hidden message. I sleep to dream of you, and wake wishing it were true.

There I sat
Broken hearted, dripping eyes, in the streets of Chicago
There I sat
My arms entwined in your bitter memories

There I sat
With promises thinner than the wind
And whispers much more delicate
Than your mother's china

There I sat
Cuffs left unbuttoned
Sleeves half dangling
There I sat
Pebbles digging into my thighs
Leaving little red marks
That would fade in time.

There I sat
With the sun setting just as it always did
With the birds chirping recklessly
A sickening scene

There I sat
Salt stained shoulders
Your nose buried into my pulse

There I sat
Whiskey eyed,
Pretending I could resurrect our lives.

And whether you care to remember or not,
There I sat,
With your torturous silence

There I sat,
Knowing full well,
We had both died long ago.

The pieces cut up my hands
The years shattered in seconds
And there I sat
Wishing I simply had the courage
To just walk away.
I can write the saddest poem of all tonight.

Write, for instance: "The night is full of stars,
and the stars, blue, shiver in the distance."

The night wind whirls in the sky and sings.

I can write the saddest poem of all tonight.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

On nights like this, I held her in my arms.
I kissed her so many times under the infinite sky.

She loved me, sometimes I loved her.
How could I not have loved her large, still eyes?

I can write the saddest poem of all tonight.
To think I don't have her. To feel that I've lost her.

To hear the immense night, more immense without her.
And the poem falls to the soul as dew to grass.

What does it matter that my love couldn't keep her.
The night is full of stars and she is not with me.

That's all. Far away, someone sings. Far away.
My soul is lost without her.

As if to bring her near, my eyes search for her.
My heart searches for her and she is not with me.

The same night that whitens the same trees.
We, we who were, we are the same no longer.

I no longer love her, true, but how much I loved her.
My voice searched the wind to touch her ear.

Someone else's. She will be someone else's. As she once
belonged to my kisses.
Her voice, her light body. Her infinite eyes.

I no longer love her, true, but perhaps I love her.
Love is so short and oblivion so long.

Because on nights like this I held her in my arms,
my soul is lost without her.

Although this may be the last pain she causes me,
and this may be the last poem I write for her.

In my night
I was broken
I am lost, I am torn
and I'm waiting for a reason
Or some meaning

Your so far in my distance
This road far too long
But your words fall so heavy on my heart now

We use drugs
We drink pain
By the bottle
Down the drain
Just trying to forget
Where we came from

All  the lies
And the cheating
We knew love
Took our beatings
From the people that we thought we deserved

But were moving through the dark now
Catching sight of the moon
Through tree tops and leaves falling slowly

Your so far in the distance
I am trying to remember your every feature
How your eyes caught that moonlight your skin was red
From the day and you were curled up in someone else's arms
And I know that I'm dreaming, this world is far too big
So I'm trying to forget all these feelings
But its there
Somewhere hidden
In my dreams
in my heart
The sound of your voice on the receiver
The look in your eyes
Long nights knowing that you are a million miles away now
This is for the rainy days.
The heavy days,
Blanketed under a dark silver sky.

This is an image of
Timeless days.
Where both dawn and dusk
Fail to exist,
Because the gray never went away.

This is the light drizzle
Painting your glasses
With tiny cloudy droplets
That blur-out your vision

And makes the next step a mystery,,
As you pray
                  For a chance of sunshine.

This is for the helpless days.
Lonely days.
Where with every battle
Pits you against the world.
     And should you lose,
     Or should you win,
     Your victory is heard
            by only two ears.

These are the words for the
Mouse-like people.
The great number of quiet strugglers
Who say yes to the fat cat
                                  By Instinct!
So they won't be the meat
Of someone else's meal.

But this is not to cast you down.
Not a giant- making pinching gestures
With people sized fingers.

This is a challenge!
A day to reach up into
Your oppressive heavens.
Cast aside the disciplinary
Blockade and- Breathe.

Breathe in the tastes
Of a life worth living.
Of the courage to be on your own feet.

And this is an urgency.
This is an urging that
All the doormat people
Sweep out from the heavy feet,
The ones you welcome for trampling.

I want to sleep forever and reside in my dreams
To frolic through a collage of different spectacles and scenes
An escape from the insufferable, cruel world at large
I want to sleep forever

I want to sleep forever so I can live in my dreams
The ruler of the lands, the queen of all kings
With nothing to fear but the darkside of the conscience
I want to sleep forever

I want to sleep forever and fight my inner demons
Provide peace of mind for all bothered and exhausted
Float on utter bliss; those monsters, I'll never miss
I want to sleep forever

I want to sleep forever and never show sadness again
Bright, long-lasting smiles on weekly sullen days
Created and maintained in a variety of ways
I want to sleep forever

I want to sleep forever to erase everything
I want to sleep forever and feel warmth again
To bathe myself in content that won't ever end
Let me sleep forever

Took the A train downtown
Saw people breaking their minds
Wasting their time
On vices the same as mine

Different shades of darkness
Fall on every stranded individual
Like the beach lined in pebbled sand
Like the rain falling from God's immovable hand

Presently downtown
The girls flaunt their faces
The men push their work
And the children have no clue
Of this eternal hurt

To be young in the eyes of time
To cheat death and to live forever
To grip the holy grail of eternity
And find some shape of sacred serenity

Hope for this;

Hope is a loaded gun
Pointed to the temple
Of your beating head

Pull the trigger and
Live

Or hesitate

And wait to

Die
