I will spread dirt into every crevice of my broken heart and plant flowers so big and beautiful, that their roots will mend all the shattered pieces back together, and you’ll never be able to see the mess I used to be.

Every outing with you
Feels like déjà vu
Probably because
I had painted all these moments in my mind
Way before you were mine

The rain outside seems humble
It strikes at the lonely windows
giving company to the seeker.

you say you’re not a poet but
with a girl like that,
how could you speak
anything less than
the stars?

She said "I'm falling in love."

I said "I'm falling apart."
What's the difference?

on days that seem so fast
it's the slow things that keep you going
stop, smell the flowers, they say
even if the road is so far away

i'm happy right now,
for better, for worse
and i find it quite liberating
i'm not doing anything
i don't do much anymore
and yet i still do

i still do a lot of things
but not because i must do a lot of things
but because i like doing them
i like doing them and it's fun to do them
when no one is telling you you have to

happiness is a word that's very difficult to describe
or so so many people say
but walking a slow pace
and living life as if it's long
looks to me like a happy face

my friend told me,
"life is short, but we've got time"
and so i'll make my life mine.

Of all the things a man can say,
the worst is i forgot.
for it is the doom of men that they forget,
and of women they do not.
