The Woods

I ventured deep within the wood
With musk and fog divine
Past the mossy stones
And through the threaded vines
Dampened leaves from fallen trees
Scattered across the floor
This wooded maze of Autumn glaze
No longer haunted me any more
Pine trees moaned and wind did swirl
Like eddying streams as waters whirl
The lights did fade from my world
And I roamed the wood till dusk

I forgot my name within the woods
My memories lost like the leaves
Gone with the breeze
And far from home, For home was now the wood
I scampered on without the light
For night was eternal here
Within the woods I played
Like a shadow I swept through the bush
Without fear or meekly afraid
Children's laughter always is the calmest
The quietest and warmest
And in the wood the notes of play
Echoed through the pines
Of children lost but here they'll stay
Forever lost within The Woods

--We live in a broken world--
A reality where man must prove that he is true
Wearing the white cape of justice
Wielding the piercing blade of truth
And puncturing the shadowy veil of evil
Man must act
Grasping the medals he is awarded
Framing the honors he has received
The small bleary eyed boy
With his fathers helmet atop his head
Will grow to fight his own battles
Uphills
And down steep slopes
But he shall take up his fathers sword
And wield it once more
In the field of battle it shall cut through the shroud
With silken cape trailing behind him
And evil shall be vanquished

--However--

We do indeed live in a broken world
And the greed of man has seeped through and through
Infecting the positions of kings
Poisoning the lips of law
And in this broken world
Where a soldier of peace as ironic it may be heard
Will need to pierce the veil within himself
Where the dark has slowly grasped
And where doubt has taken root
For shall he do as commanded
Or fasten the helmet upon his head
In defiance
Becoming the enemy of the kingdom he once so loved
The white knight of justice will choose
And he shall be revered as the traitorous blood
Who turned his back to his fellow man
But in his heart
In this broken world
He shall know he still holds his fathers honor
Forever and ever
--Man's white knight--
Sometimes man must play the villain to save everything he cares for.

I sit on the wooden bench of time
As people pass
Traveling off to new places
Embarking on journeys and saying goodbye to loved ones
I fumble with my ticket
The letters are smudged and unreadable
A train whistle shrieks and begins to chug away
I have only my clothes and small suitcase
Other young men get on and off the mechanical trains
A pretty girl comes and sits beside me
She pays no attention to me
Continuing to read her little book
After a while she gets up and leaves my wooden bench
I am alone now
Even though I never caught her name
The whole station feels empty
As if time has stopped
No sound nor movement
Everything a blur
I squeeze my ticket and glance at the clock
Half past noon
I realize I've missed my train

You say that you are a Muslim
You say you stand for Islam
But how can your Islam
Be so different to mine

Two individuals
On opposite sides of the globe
We believe in the same God
Follow the same voice

If you are a Muslim
Your actions would show it
You would follow the Qur'an
And not distort it

If you are Muslim and this is your Islam
Then I am a non-believer
Refusing to take the blame
So oppress not in my name
I tremble like a rabbit before it's demise,
sitting in the hole  paralyzed,
by the snakes  penetrating  eyes.
A word to the wise,
the enemy often lies,
he has many  spies,
he hides right beneath the prize,
he is the lord of the flies.
Listen to the song of magpies,
they are warning  cries,
to help you realize,
his rabbit  hide is a disguise.
This a subject I can not stress enough, for we are all deceived by the ways of evil, we often are enticed by promises of worldly things. I want to more than anything to have my brothers and sisters with me and not with him. Peace and love be to you all!

I have bloodstains everywhere and
They like to watch me when I sleep.
I can't help their eyes scan over me
And watch for when I bleed.

These greedy bloodstains
These greedy blotches.
The color red waits and
The color red watches.

Go blind.
Go Blind.
GO BLIND.
Grow old and die and watch me from hell.

Because your eyes will tire
And you cannot beat my fire.

My fire is my lyre
And my lyre makes music,
*Not blood.

your heart was always out of reach
and mine was always in your hands
but if you listen closely
you can hear my ribs cracking
to the rhythm of your breathing
your grip tightens
my heart screams
you laugh
i beg
you lie
we fight
"do you think I'll cry?" I ask
"you know I'll try" you counter
the sky darkens as you smile
nothing unusual
i think about when I paced my halls
at three in the morning on a sunday
and how it was just like when
you pulled me underwater
and it felt like I was breathing fire
and suddenly you're talking about
when we first met
in that church parking lot
when it started something
that was anything but holy
and I laugh at the irony
it was better than any poetry
i could ever write

Rain is such a beautiful thing
The way the drops splash
Drenching all in a liquid sheet
All encompassing it rains for miles
Swallowing the world in a dreary state

I love the rain
Rain means no smiles
No sunny days
A world with rain
Where the people feel my sorrow
Where my darkness becomes reality
And no matter how much they despise it
They cannot escape

Rain is cruel
Trapping you
Holding you
Rain is misery
Rain is my reality
That I gladly give to you
