She was the wave of a flood, the tremor of disaster,
The bitter truth that left in ruins all the laughter.
He was the dawn, the warmth melting a winter moon,
The laughter of a child, a poet’s boon.
She touched a life only to dance it into grief,
Her smile was broken, or was that a dream?
He was a dream, a moment of truth,
To a heart so homeless, a comforting roof.
They danced along a path, destiny playing its hand,
Writing music, so effortlessly, along the dropping sand.
His magic so flawless, so was her curse,
What seemed beautiful, turned its page for the worse.
Tears made rivers, rivers evaporated to dreams,
The glittering gold of happiness, was darkness, indeed.
Fate called it love, they had almost called it a defeat,
When he called their victory, in a strong belief.
Tears made rivers, rivers evaporated to a mystery,
How the seven oceans in between, failed to stop destiny.

Tearless eyes so dry, tears didn't shed.
Throats so dry, every word unsaid.
Screams so silent, blood painted the world,
Blood which was lost, less than the part which hurled.
Aftermath so peaceful, ruin yet it was,
Echoing in the isolation, Ares' applause.
White wings in the sky had no worth,
'Mothers', they cry, 'To death, don't give birth.'

Soft breeze danced in through the window left open,
Touched the dreams that shattered, promises which were broken.
It danced around the depth of the emptiness, the shallowness of yesterday,
Where destiny conquered will in a fray.
She cried on the doorstep, when the breeze blew her hair,
The timelessness of a forever, more than she could care.

Her tears swept away in the breeze through the window left open,
Above the dreams that shattered, promises which were broken.
To the nothing owned by he who had it all,
Loneliness of his eyes soaked by the breeze, before it could fall.
Two droplets from the rain which may lead to drought,
Gave birth to a rainbow, shone brighter than thought.

Beautiful breeze smiled and closed the window left open,
Their eyes witnessed the dance of the words beautiful left unspoken.

A ray of hope from the broken window of happiness danced its way to her heart,
Of tears and empty promises, for what she knew from the start.
His touch so soft, she could hardly feel a thing,
Magic to her sadly broken wing.
A whisper of love, an apparent ceaseless night,
Dancing to the sound of her dreams, at the highest height.
And, how she fell, the fall of belief, on the dawn of destiny,
A warm grab of his strength, the moment of an eternity.

An extension from my lips: a plead, so desperate.
Don't go, don't stay: stay somewhere faraway.
A trembling voice in the depth of where silence resides,
The fear of solitude, of what's left inside.
A scream unheard, unutterable,
A plead so desperate, so feeble.
Submission to the newest of moons,
Rotation of deeds, so fast, so soon.
Bloodshed or teardrops, comfort or lies: So hard to remember, so hard to decide,
Oh, the fear of solitude, of what's left inside.
Because what's unutterable will be uttered someday,
The music which alone will be faced.

Her wings are caught in a place she doesn't belong,
The suppressed words; the cuts from the thorns.
She feels trapped though they say she's free to go,
A highness so empty, it almost feels low.
She wants to fly, sore high and never return,
The memory so hazy, so blurred.
She falls on her broken dreams every now and then,
What and how, a question she asks often.
They hurt her, and ******* her soul,
She doesn't remember when she found herself in whole.
A lonely dream, in an awakened nightmare: her only fear.
A breathing feeling of breathlessness,
'Alive!' she says, nevertheless.

The roof above me leaks tears of solitude,
The warmth of a home, a heartless house fails to delude.
Crushed dreams, broken promises and distant goodbyes,
The destination of the trail of deceit and lies.
Hushed words of what remained on my lips,
The memory of  short forevers from my head fails to slip.
Repetition and the blunders of the game of blame,
A hurting heart cursing different names.
Debris remain on the pathway of where destiny twirled,
A step ahead, to a step backward, loneliness is what time hurled.
Distant eyes seek a home in the cold silence of the screaming walls,
Find love in the bleeding fatal wars.
"I want to go home, where my pining sleeps.
I want to go home, where darkness sleeps. "
The whisper of my heart, as it finally drowns in dejection deep.
